Our football match prediction:
Young Boys failed to book their place in the group stages of the Champions League, but they will have a chance to prove their worth in the Europa League. The Swiss side take on Serbian champions Partizan in the opening match of their Europa League campaign and a close encounter appears on the cards. Young Boys defeated the likes of APOEL and Astana in previous two home games in the competition and we predict that they are going to find the net in Thursday’s football match. Partizan will be without star players Uros Djurdjevic and Leonardo, who left the club in the summer transfer window and new signing Soumah will be the man to watch in the away team. Former Manchester United winger Zoran Tosic joined the club as well and, taking everything into account, both teams to score bet should be considered. The two teams have never met before in the Europa League.
Highlighted Player (Miralem Sulejmani):
Miralem Sulejmani is a product of Partizan football academy. The pacey winger played no more than one game in the Serbian Super League for Partizan before joining Heerenveen. The left-footed footballer impressed in the 2007/2008 season with de Superfriezen, with the Serbia international scoring 14 goals in 34 appearances in the Eredivisie. Miralem Sulejmani was on Ajax’s radar during the season and he signed for the famous Dutch club in the summer of 2008 for a fee of €16.25 million. After scoring 29 goals in 103 appearances in the national championship for the Amsterdammers Sulejmani moved to Benfica in 2013, signing a five-year contract with the Primeira Liga side. However, Miralem Sulejmani was struggling to find his best form during his spell with the Portuguese outfit and the club chiefs decided to sell him to Young Boys in June, 2015. Speaking of his international career, Miralem Sujelmani made his Serbia debut on February 6, 2008 in a friendly game against Macedonia in Skopje. He scored his first ever goal for the Eagles on September 12, 2012 in a 6-1 win over Wales (2014 WC qualifiers).

Highlighted Team (Partizan):

Partizan are a Serbian football club founded by Yugoslav People’s Army on October 4, 1945. The Crno-beli (Black and Whites) play their home games at Partizan Stadium and the capacity of the venue is 32.710. During the 20th century Partizan were in the shadow of their bitterest rivals Crvena zvezda, who won the European Cup in 1991, but nowadays the Crno-beli are the dominant force in the Serbian Super League, with the team winning their 11th domestic trophy of the 21st century in the 2016/2017 season. Partizan face Crvena zvezda in Veciti derbi (Eternal derby) which is considered one of the greatest derbies in the world. Speaking of the club’s European success, Partizan did well to make it to the European Cup final in the 1965/1966 season, but Real Madrid proved to be a big catch for the Serbian champions in the title game at Heysel Stadium. The likes of Predrag Mijatovic, Miroslav Djukic, Savo Milosevic, Danko Lazovic, Stevan Jovetic, Matija Nastasic, Albert Nadj, Mateja Kezman and Adem Ljajic are the notable footballers who played for Partizan in the past.
