Our football match prediction:
After playing out a goalless draw with Sheriff in the opening match of their Europa League campaign, Zlin suffered a heavy 3-0 loss to Lokomotiv Moscow in their second group game. The Czech side are eager to score for their first goal of the process and, no doubt, they will fight tooth and nail in Thursday’s football match against Copenhagen. It is well known that the Danish team have been struggling on the road in European competitions this term and that is the main reason why home win should be considered. Copenhagen are on a four-match winless run on the travels (CL, EL) and we predict that they are going to return to Denmark empty-handed. Seeing that Zlin have been struggling up front in all competitions this season, we would not be surprised if one goal separates the two teams in Thursday’s clash at Stadion Letna.
Highligted Player (Stanislav Dostal):
Stanislav Dostal is a Czech goalkeeper who plays for FC Zlin. Dostal was born in on June 20, 1991 in Czechoslovakia and he is a product of Zlin football academy. The 186-cm tall shot-stopper made his Czech First League debut in November 2008 against Olomuc, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the Czech national football team. Stanislav Dostal, though, has six caps for the U18 team and it has to be noted that he played one match for Czech Republic U19 as well. The goalkeeper made 24 appearances for Zlin in the 2017/2017 Czech First League campaign, conceding 24 goals in the process, while keeping eight clean sheets. Nonetheless, his most successful season was the 2014/2015 campaign as he managed to keep no less than 11 clean sheets in 26 appearances in the league for FC Zlin. Stanislav Dostal is likely to play for Zlin in the 2017/2018 Europa League campaign where the Czech club will face the likes of Sheriff Tiraspol, Lokomotiv Moscow and Copenhagen.
Highlighted Team (FC Copenhagen):
The most successful club in the history of Danish football F.C. Kopenhagen was founded in 1992, through the merger of 15-time Danish champions Kjobenhavns Boldklub and seven-time champions of Denmark Boldklubben 1903. Football Club Copenhagen play their matches at the Telia Parken, a venue that can host 38,000 spectators. The Team of the City as Copenhagen is called in Denmark has won the Danish football championship eleven times, while it has also won the Danish Cup on seven occasions. The club forms great rivalry with Copenhagen’s suburban club Brondby IF with games between the two club attracting some of the biggest crowds in Danish football history in this so called New Firm derby. Through its history F.C. Copenhagen have participated in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League, while their major European accomplishments have been achieved in the Royal League, with the Danish powerhouse winning two titles and coming as runners-up on one occasion.
