Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Manchester City suffered a shocking elimination to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup last term and, no doubt, they are eager to make amends for the unsuccessful campaign. Pep Guardiola’s men are enjoying yet another season to remember and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play in Saturday’s football match against Brighton. The Citizens are seen as hot favorites to emerge triumphant in the FA Cup semis and given their thrilling form, Kun Aguero and Co. are likely to record a routine win over the Seagulls.
Brighton booked their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup by beating the likes of Bournemouth, WBA, Derby and Millwall, but Man City are likely to pose a much bigger threat for the underdogs than their previous rivals. In each of their last four meetings in the Premier League the Citizens emerged triumphant and we do not believe that the Seagulls are capable of putting an end to the negative trend.
Highlighted Player (Vincent Kompany):
Vincent Kompany is regarded as one of the best defenders in the world of football. The Belgian ace was born on 10 April, 1986 and he is capable of playing as centre back and defensive midfielder. Kompany began his youth career at Anderlecht and in 2006 he arrived to Germany to play for Bundesliga side Hamburger SV. Two years later he signed for Manchester City for a fee of £6 million. The Man City defender has won two Premier League trophies with the Etihad Stadium outfit (2011/2012, 2013/2014) and he made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season with the Citizens. Vicent Kompany was named the Premier League player of the season in the 2011/2012 campaign and it has to be noted that he was awarded the captaincy of Man City back then. The Belgium international married Carla Higgs in 2011, who gave birth to their two children (daughter and son).
Highlighted Team (Brighton & Hove Albion):
Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club were formed in 1901. The Seagulls welcome their opponents at Falmer Stadium and the capacity of Brighton’s home ground is 30,750. The stadium was built in 2008 and it was opened in 2011. The venue is known for commercial purposes as American Express Community Stadium.
Brighton & Hove Albion compete in the Premier League and they play in blue and white stripes. The colour of Brighton’s away kit is green. The club made it to the FA Cup final in 1983, but English giants Manchester United proved to be a big catch for the Red Devils.
Brighton’s main rivals are Crystal Palace and the Seagulls have recorded 35 wins over the Eagles. Frank Stapleton, Martin Chivers, Joe Corrigan, Bobby Zamora, Mark Lawrenson, Bobby Smith, John Crumplin and Frank Worthington are notable footballers who played for Brighton in the past. The Albion is Preston’s yet another nickname.
