Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
A place in the fifth round of the FA Cup will be at stake when AFC Wimbledon and West Ham United take on each other at Cherry Red Records Fans’ Stadium. The League one side experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-1 loss to Barnsley in their last league match and it is no surprise they are considered underdogs in Saturday’s football match. The Hammers, on the other hand, aim to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Bournemouth and we predict that they are going to fight tooth and nail against ACF Wimbledon. Felipe Anderson is enjoying a very successful season and we believe that the former Lazio ace is going to pose a big threat for the opposition defenders. When the two teams met in the League Cup last season West Ham defeated the League One side 3-1 and we believe that the history is going to repeat itself.
Highlighted Player (Pablo Zabaleta):
Pablo Zabaleta is a full back who plays for Premier League side Manchester City. The Argentine footballer began his senior career at San Lorenzo and in 2005 he joined La Liga side Espanyol. After spending three years at Cornella El Prat, Pablo Zabaleta signed a deal with Manchester City for a fee of £6.45 million.
The Argentine player was born in Buenos Aires on 16 January, 1985 and in 2013 he married his Spanish girlfriend Christel Castano. Speaking of trophies, Pablo Zabaleta has won two Premier League titles with Manchester City (2011/2012, 2013/2014), while lifting the FA Cup trophy in the 2010/2011 season.
In 2008 Zabaleta won the Olympic Gold Medal with Argentina, but he has yet to win a trophy at the major tournament with la Albiceleste. It has to be noted that he has a tattoo with the name of his mother on his chest as his mom died while he was at age 15.
Highlighted Team (West Ham United):
West Ham United are an English football club based in East London. The club was founded in 1895 and it has to be noted that the club’s name was Thames Ironworks back then. The Hammers were playing their home games at Upton Park from 1904 until 2016, when they moved to the Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
West Ham have won three FA Cup trophies (1964, 1975 and 1980) and they were runners-up in 1923 and 2006. The capital club finished the 1985/1986 England first division campaign in third place in the standings and that is the club’s highest placing in the top flight. West Ham United have strong rivalries with fellow London clubs, but Tottenham Hotspur are considered the club’s main rivals.
A number of top-class players were part of West Ham in the past and the likes of Joe Cole, Carlos Tevez, Paolo Di Canio, Paul Ince, Julian Dicks, Shaka Hislop, Michael Carrick and Slaven Bilic are some of them.
