Our football match prediction:
A place in the 4th round of the FA Cup will be at stake when Manchester United and Derby County face each other at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are seen as hot favourites to win Saturday’s football match, but the Rams should not be written off just yet. It is well known that Jose Mourinho wants to win every single trophy and we predict that the “Special One” is likely to field the best possible side against Derby. The Rams, on the other hand, are fully focused on securing automatic promotion to the Premier League and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Manchester United’s party at Old Trafford. The Championship side failed to score in previous five league fixtures and, taking everything into account, the visitors are likely to return home empty-handed. When the two teams met in the FA Cup two seasons ago Man Utd recorded a 3-1 win over Derby at iPro Stadium.
Highlighted Player (Nemanja Matic):
Nemanja Matic is a Serbian footballer who plays for Premier League side Chelsea. The 194-cm-tall midfielder was born on 1 August, 1988 and he began his football career (youth) at Radnicki Obrenovac. In 2005 he signed for Kolubara and after impressing with Kosice in the 2008/2009 campaign, Chelsea owners decided to sign him. Nemanja spent the 2010/2011 season on loan at Vitesse and at the end of the season he signed a deal with Portuguese giants Benfica, with David Luiz heading in the other direction. Matic was in the form of his life in the 2013/2014 Primeira Liga campaign and he helped the Eagles clinch the domestic trophy. He rejoined Chelsea in 2014 for a fee of €25M and he helped the Blues win the Premier League title in the 2014/2015 season. Nemanja Matic has also developed into a key member of the Serbian national team that have been largely struggling of late.
Highlighted Team (Derby County):
Derby County are one of the 12 founder members of the Football League. However, nowadays the Rams compete in the Championship and they play their home matches at Pride Park Stadium. Derby County have won the two trophies in the English top flight (1971/1972, 1974/1975), with the team lifting the FA Cup trophy just after the World War II (1946). Derby’s main rivals are Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Leeds United, but the rivalry between Forest and Derby is regarded as the biggest one. The two teams take on each other in the East Midlands derby. The colour of Derby’s shirts is white, whilst their shorts are black. It has to be noted that the club was founded in 1884 by William Morley. The Rams competed in the European competitions four times, but they did not record a notable result in the European Cups. The club’s chairman is Mel Morris.
