Our match prediction:
By beating Lokomotiv Moscow in the Europa League last 32, Fenerbahce set up a meeting with Sporting Braga. The Turkish side have been in a fine form of late and they head into Thursday’s game following a routine 3-0 win over Akhisar Belediyespor in the Super Lig. Vitor Pereira’s men are on a three-match winning run in all competitions ahead of the visit of Braga and given their impressive home record, we predict that the Turks are capable of beating the Portuguese side in the first leg. Paulo Fonseca’s team did well to upset Porto in Sunday’s Primeira Liga clash, but Thursday’s game against Fenerbahce in Istanbul will be anything but a walk in the park for the visitors. You should bear in mind that Braga failed to score in two of their last three away games in the Europa League and that is one of the reasons why we are tempted to put our money on the home team.
