Our prediction for this FIFA Club World Cup match:
Despite producing a fine display in Wednesday’s football match against Real Madrid, Al Jazira eventually failed to make it to the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup final. The tournament hosts take on Pachuca in the third place play-offs and they are definitely capable of matching the Mexican outfit. Pachuca failed to impress in the 1-0 loss to Gremio and seeing that Al Jazira have already recorded two wins at the 2017 FIFA Club World Cup, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. A man to watch in the away team will be Japan international Keisuke Honda, whilst Pachuca defenders should have Ali Ahmed Mabkhout at bay as he scored the winner in the quarter-finals against Urawa. The UAE side want this win more than the J-League club and we predict Henk ten Cate’s men are going to win the bronze medal.
Highlighted Player (Keisuke Honda):
Keisuke Honda is considered one of the most famous Japanese footballers. Honda was born in Settsu, Osaka on June 13, 1986 and he started his youth career at his hometown club Settsu FC. In 2004 he signed a professional contract with Nagoya Grampus and he played for the J1-League club from 2004 to 2007. The left-footed midfielder then moved to Europe, signing a deal with VVV-Venlo on January 16, 2008 and it has to be noted that he scored 24 goals in 68 league appearances for the Dutch outfit. In the winter of 2009 Keisuke Honda joined Russian club CSKA Moscow for an undisclosed fee. The Japanese footballer quickly established himself as CSKA’s key player and in 2013 he won the Russian Premier League title with the Armeitsy. Nowadays, the Japan international plays for Mexican side Pachuca. As for his international career, Honda made his Japan debut on June 22, 2008. Honda is well known for his accurate and powerful shot and he often scores from free-kicks.
Highlighted Team (Al Jazira):
Over the years Al Jazira have established themselves as one of the best teams in United Arab Emirates. The Pride of Abu Dhabi won their first UAE Arabian Gulf League trophy in 2011 and six years later they repeated the success. In 2007 Al Jazira did well to clinch the GCC Champions League title and that is considered the club’s biggest success. The United Arab Emirates club suffered a 2-0 loss to the Saudi Arabians in the first leg, but they proved their worth in the return leg (3-1) and eventually defeated the Commandos on penalties to win the trophy. It has to be noted that famous Italian goalkeeper Walter Zenga was in charge of the club during the 2013/2014 season. Al Jazira welcome their rivals at Mohammeed Bin Zayed Stadium and the venue can hold up to 42.056 spectators. Montenegro international Mirko Vucinic is one of the most famous footballers who played for the club and the former Juventus ace scored 25 goals in the 2014/2015 Arabian Gulf League.
