Our prediction for this FIFA Club World Cup match:
A place in the FIFA Club World Cup final stages will be at stake when Monterrey and Al Sadd face each other at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday evening. Antonio Mohamed’s troops did well to win the CONCACAF Champions League earlier this year, with the team beating fellow Mexican side UANL in the final. Monterrey have been in a splendid form ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup opener against Al Sadd, with the team recording back-to-back wins over Necaxa in the national championship.
A man to watch in the Liga MX side will be Funes Mori, who has netted 11 goals so far this season. Al Sadd play in front of home fans, but given the number of high-profile players in the Mexican side, we are not tempted to put our money on Xavi’s troops, who failed to impress in a 3-1 win over Hienghene Sport.
