Our football match prediction:
A matured performance against the Netherlands proved that France should be considered serious contenders for the Euro 2016 trophy as Les Bleus were lethal up front, creating a host of clear-cut chances and should have probably put the game to bed long before Matuidi’s winner. Dimitri Payet’s near-perfect showing showed just what the team have been missing and there is no way Didier Deschamps will keep the West Ham man out of the side after such a display. Most importantly, France looked good as a team and they can be trusted to see off very good Russia side as well. That will be no easy task considering the improvement Sbornaya Komanda have shown under Leonid Slutsky, especially since the CSKA Moscow boss rested all key men in the 3-0 triumph over Lithuania. Taking everything into account, we predict that this will be an intense affair worthy of the Euro 2016 final stages, where France should ultimately prevail.
