Our football match prediction:
Basel and Athletic Bilbao face each other in a warm-up game on Wednesday evening. The Swiss side aim to build on a 2-0 win over Neuchatel Xamax, but they will have a big fish to fry in the game against the Basque outfit. Basel kick off their domestic campaign on July 22 with a game against Young Boys and there is every chance coach Raphael Wicky is going to field the best possible side against Athletic Bilbao. The Lions failed to impress in the 2016/2017 La Liga season and, no doubt, they are eager to make amends for the unsuccessful campaign. New coach Jose Angel Ziganda is eager to mark his debut with a win and, taking everything into account, we predict that fans will see a high-scoring affair in Wednesday’s football game. It has to be noted that the two teams meet for the first time ever.
