Our football match prediction:
France and USA face each other at Groupama Stadium in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining friendly games of Saturday’s program. France are eager to beat the Yanks in their last warm-up game ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and we predict the hosts will leave their hearts on the field in Saturday’s football match. USA, on the other hand, missed out on a place at the showpiece tournament in Russia, but their pride will be at stake when they face les Tricolores in Lyon. Anyhow, seeing that France coach Didier Deschamps is going to field the best the possible side against USA, we are positive that the EURO 2016 finalists are going to emerge triumphant in the Groupama Stadium clash. A man to watch in the home team will be Antoine Griezmann, who won the Europa League title with Atletico Madrid in May.
Highlighted Player (Pogba):
After spending four seasons at Juventus, Paul Pogba returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2016. The French midfielder signed a five-year deal with the Premier League giants for a world-record fee of €105 million. He set an all-time record for highest football transfer fee, surpassing Gareth Bale, the former record holder. However, he missed the 2016/2017 Premier League opener against Bournemouth through suspension. Pogba was born in Lagny-sur-Marne, France on 15 March, 1993 and he represents les Tricolores on the international stage. He won the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup with France, while making it to the Euro 2016 final with Didier Deschamps’ troops. However, they were beaten by Portugal in the title game at Stade de France. It has to be noted that Paul Pogba won four Serie A trophies with Juventus. He produced a fine display in the 2013/2014 Champions League final against Barcelona, but Juve suffered a 3-1 loss to Barca in the Olympiastadion Berlin clash. Pogba is a central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as an attacking and a defensive midfielder as well.
Highlighted Team (United States):
The United States Men’s National Soccer Team commonly referred to as the USMNT have been playing at the international level since 1916 and their debut 3-2 win at Sweden. The USMNT have first appeared at a FIFA World Cup in 1930 when they achieved their best ever result by reaching the semi-final of the competition and ultimately finishing third, which remains the joint highest finish of any team outside of the UEFA and CONMEBOL confederations. Following the 1950 FIFA World Cup, the United States did not qualify for the tournament until 1990. The US also hosted the competition in 1994, going out to lose to Brazil in the round of 16. Hosts of the Copa America Centenario, the United States will try to record a noticeable result on home soil under the leadership of Germany legend Jurgen Klinsmann. The US have bright history in the century-old tournament and will hope to repeat the glorious 1995 run when they finished fourth.
