Our prediction for this match:
The County Ground will host Saturday’s football match between Bolton Wanderers and Girona. Bolton head into the friendly following a 2-1 win over Halifax Town, but they face a difficult task against the La Liga side. The Trotters did well to secure the Championship survival last term and they are on the same quest this season. Bolton footballers aim to prepare in the best way possible for the Championship opener against WBA at the Hawthorns and there is every chance they will leave their hearts on the field in Saturday’s friendly against Girona. The Catalan outfit played an important role in La Liga last term and, no doubt, their main goal is to establish themselves as a top-table side in the Spanish top flight. Girona aim to impress in their first warm-up game of pre-season, but we believe that they are going to share the spoils with Bolton, who are undefeated in previous three matches in all competitions.
Highlighted Player (Sammy Ameobi):

Sammy Ameobi is the younger brother of a famoust Newcastle United player Shola. Sammy is a product of Newcastle United football academy as well and he scored two goals in 56 appearances for the first team. The pacey attacker played for the likes of Middlesbrough, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers on loan in the past before signing a permanent deal with the Trotters on July 14, 2017.
Sammy Ameobi was born in Newcastle upon Tyne on May 1, 1992, but he has two caps for Nigeria U20 team. The left-footed footballer played for the England U21 team as well, but he has yet to make his senior debut for the Three Lions. Ameobi’s main position is centre-forward, but he is capable of playing as a winger as well.
Sammy Ameobi made his Bolton debut on September 3, 2016 against Southend and it has to be noted that he scored two goals in 20 appearances for the club in the 2016/2017 League One campaign. At the end of the season Bolton were promoted to the Championship.
Highlighted Team (Girona):

After several unsuccessful attempts, finally secured promotion to Primera Division at the end of the 2016/2017 season. The Catalan outfit finished the campaign in second place in the standings, 14 points behind Levante and only two clear of third-placed Getafe. Girona play their home games at Montilivi and the capacity of the venue is 9.286.
Speaking of the club history, Girona were founded in the café Norat in La Rambla of Girona on July 23, 1930 and they played their first official game against Colonia Artigas. A number of Spanish coaches were in charge of the team in the past, but it has to be noted that Uruguayan tactician Dagoberto Moll (1965/1966) and Karoly Plattko (1948/1949) of Hungary were in charge of the club as well.
The Catalan team wear white shirts with red stripes when playing at home, while the colour of their shorts is blue. The team’s away kits are blue and black and Sporting Gijon are considered one of Girona’s fiercest rivals.
