Our prediction for this match:
Brighton will be aiming to put an end to their four-game winless run in pre-season when they square off against Nantes at American Express Community Stadium. The Seagulls do not seem to be on top of their game ahead of their last warm-up match, but a win over Nantes will surely give them a confidence boost. Coach Chris Hughton is likely to field the best possible side against Nantes, which is the main reason why we predict the Premier League side will emerge triumphant in Friday’s football match. Les Canaris suffered a shocking loss to Avranches earlier in July and given the importance of the match for Brighton, we do not believe that there is a big value in betting on the Ligue 1 side. It has to be noted that the two teams meet for the first time ever in a friendly match.
Highlighted Player (Shane Duffy):

Shane Duffy is a footballer from Northern Ireland, who plays for Blackburn Rovers as a centre back. Duffy was born on 1 January, 1992 and he is considered one of the tallest players in the Championship. The 193-cm-tall defender began his youth career at Foyle Harps and went on to sign a deal with Premier League giants Everton in 2008.
Despite being an Everton player for five years, he made no more than five appearances for the Goodison Park outfit in the process. The Northern Ireland international enjoyed loan spells with Burnley, Scunthorpe United and Yeovil Town before joining Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee in 2014. Shane Duffy scored four goals in 41 appearances for the Rovers in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and he played an important role in Paul Lambert’s team.
Despite being born in Northern Ireland, the defender made his international debut for Republic of Ireland in June 2014 against Costa Rica, switching his allegiance after representing the Northern Ireland Under-16 side.
Highlighted Team (Nantes):

Founded on April 21, 1943 Nantes is a professional football club that compete in French Ligue 1. Les Canaris are considered one of the most famous French clubs and they had a lot of success during the sixties and the seventies. Nantes won their first Ligue 1 title in the 1964/1965 season and 36 years later (2000/2001) they clinched their eighth (last) domestic trophy.
Speaking of the club’s European success, les Canaris did well to make it to the Champions League semis in 1996, but Italian giants Juventus proved to be a big catch for the French outfit. Nantes welcome their rivals at La Beaujoire-Louis Fonteneau and the capacity of the stadium is 38.004.
The likes of Vahid Halilhodzic, Adel Selimi, Michel Der Zakarian, Viorel Moldovan, Mario Yepes, Marcel Desailly, Didier Deschamps, Claude Makelele, Christian Karembeu and Dimitri Payet are the notable footballers who played for the club in the past. Nantes are well known for their yellow jerseys and that is the reason why they are nicknamed the Canaries (les Canaris).
