Our prediction for this match:
Rangers will be with one eye on the Europa League 2nd qualifying round game when they take on Blackburn Rovers in a friendly on Sunday afternoon. Steven Gerrard is likely to mix the squad against the Championship side, which is the main reason why home win should not be considered. The Riversiders, on the other hand, defeated lower-league side Barrow in their first warm-up game, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Rangers.
Nonetheless, considering that the Gers are fully focused on the Europa League clash, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Blackburn Rovers. When the two teams met in a friendly nine years ago Rangers emerged triumphant, meaning that the Riversiders are eager to get their revenge on the Scottish Premier League side. Joseph Nuttall, who scored the winner against Barrow, is likely to be recalled to the starting XI.
