Our prediction for this match:
All eyes will be on Lincoln Financial Field when Juventus and Bayern Munchen face each other at the International Champions Cup. Juve chiefs did well to reinforce the squad in the summer transfer window, with Cristiano Ronaldo joining the Serie A champions. The Bianconeri, though, will be without the Portuguese superstar at the 2018 International Champions Cup and that is the main reason why we are not tempted to put our money on Max Allegri’s troops. Bayern Munchen, on the other hand, proved their worth in a 3-1 win over PSG and they must be high on confidence ahead of Thursday’s football match. A man to watch in the Bundesliga side will be experienced winger Arjen Robben, who provided an assists for Javi Martinez in the triumph over les Parisiens. Taking everything into account, there is a big value in betting on the Bavarians.
Highlighted Player (Mattia Perin):
Mattia Perin is an Italian footballer who was born on 10 November, 1992 in Latina, Italy. Perin played for the likes of A.S.D. Pro Cisterna, Pistoiese and Genoa during his youth career and he continued to play for the Rossoblu at senior level. The Italian goalkeeper has been playing for Genoa since 2010, but it has to be noted that he spend some time on loan at Padova and Pescara between 2011 and 2013.
Perin played for Italy U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 teams in the past and he made his debut for the Azzurri at senior level on 18 November, 2014, in a 1-0 win over Albania in a friendly match. He replaced Sirigu in the second half of the match.
The Italian shot-stopper tore his anterior cruciate ligament on 9 April, 2016 and, as a result, he did not represent Italy at the 2016 European Championship finals in France. Mattia Perin managed to keep eight clean sheets in 25 appearances for Genoa in the 2015/2016 Serie A campaign.
Highlighted Team (Bayern Munich):
Over the years Bayern Munich have established themselves as one of the most successful European clubs. The Stern des Sudens (Star of the South) are the dominant force in German football and it has to be noted that the Bavarians clinched their 26th Bundesliga title in 2016. Bayern Munich have won 18 German Cup trophies, while winning the Champions League (European Cup) five times.
The German giants clinched the Intercontinental Cup in 1976 and 2001, while lifting the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in 2013. Bayern Munich was founded in 1900 by eleven football players and their leader was Franz John. The Bavarians host their rivals at Allianz Arena (75,000), the stadium that was built in 2005.
Fellow Bavarian sides TSV 1860 Munchen 1860 and Nurnberg are regarded as Bayern Munich’s fiercest rivals, but the rivalry between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern is big as well. The likes of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Franz Beckenbauer, Lothar Matthaus, Oliver Kahn, Gerd Muller and Giovane Elber are famous footballers who played for Bayern Munich in the past.
