Our prediction for this League 1 match:
AFC Wimbledon will be looking to make amends for a 2-1 loss to Oxford United when they take on Southend United at the Cherry Red Records Stadium. AFC Wimbledon are not having a season to remember, with the team sitting in the 18th position in the standings, only two points clear of the relegation zone. The Dons, though, will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways as they play host to Southend United at their Cherry Red Records Stadium.
AFC Wimbledon are likely to go all guns blazing at the Shrimpers, who have been struggling at the back in recent festive fixtures. Southend United conceded 11 goals in total in the last four league matches; therefore, we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling the Dons’ party at the Cherry Red Record Stadium.
