Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Plymouth will be aiming to build on the FA Cup win over Lincoln when they welcome Rochdale at their Home Park on Matchday 15. The Pilgrims are on a three-game winless run in the League One, but they are seen as favourites in Tuesday’s clash against the relegation-threatened visitors. Defender Niall Canavan returns to contention after serving his ban in a 1-0 loss to Peterborough.
Rochdale, on the other hand, failed to win the last seven games in all competitions, and it is no wonder they are low on confidence ahead of the midweek clash. The Dale suffered a 3-1 loss to Oxford United in their last away game, and seeing that Plymouth do not suit them, home win should be considered. In their last meeting at Home Park in the League One the Pilgrims outclassed the Dale 5-1, and the history is likely to repeat itself.
Highlighted Player (Scott Wootton):

After spending his youth career at English giants Liverpool and Manchester United, Scott Wootton played for the likes of Tranmere Rovers, Peterborough United, and Nottingham Forest on loan at senior level. In the summer of 2013, the defender signed a three-year deal with Leeds United.
Scott Wootton made 66 appearances for the Whites in the league before moving to Rotherham United on loan. In August 2016, the English footballer joined League 1 club Milton Keynes Dons, signing a two-year deal with the Stadium MK outfit. Nowadays, Scott Wootton plays for Plymouth Argyle in the League Two, where he wears the number 5 jersey.
Scott Wootton’s primary position is a centre-back, but he is capable of producing fine performances at right-back as well. The 188-cm tall defender, whose preferred foot is right, has three caps for the England U17 team. Scott Wootton was born in Birkenhead, England, on September 12, 1991.
Highlighted Team (Rochdale):

Nicknamed the Dale, Rochdale are a professional English club that compete in the League One (English third tier). Rochdale were founded back in 1907, after World War I, with the team beating Accrington Stanley 6-3 in their first league game 14 years later.
The Dale wear blue shirts with black stripes and blue shorts when playing at home, whilst gray is the dominant colour of their away kit. Spotland Stadium is the club’s home ground, with the venue holding no more than 10,249 spectators. Bury and Oldham Athletic are considered the club’s fiercest rivals, but they have built up rivalries with the likes of Halifax Town, Burnley, Stockport County, Wigan Athletic and Accrington Stanley as well.
Back in 1962 Rochdale made it to the Football League Cup final, with the team facing Norwich City in the title game. The Canaries proved to be a big catch for the Dale, but this is still considered the club’s biggest success. It has to be noted that the Spotland Stadium outfit have three Lancashire Cup titles as well (1948/1949, 1970/1971, 2004/2005).
