Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Stade Credit Agricole de la Licorne will host a midweek game between Amiens and Reims. Amiens experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-2 loss at Montpellier in their last league match, and, to make things even worse for the fans, Juan Otero was sent off. The Colombian attacker misses the Reims game through suspension, and given the Unicorns’ poor form, we do not believe that home win should be considered.
Reims, on the other hand, aim to put an end to their five-game winless run in the French top flight. Seeing that the visitors have been impressive at the back in the first half of the season, we are positive that they will rely on their rock-solid defence in Wednesday’s clash. Reims are more of a team than Amiens, and we predict that they are going to pick up all three points from the midweek match.

Highlighted Player (Regis Gurtner):

Born in Saverne, France on Devember 8, 1986, Regis Gurtner began his career at the youth team of FR Haguenau. In 2004 he moved to Strasbourg football academy and four years later he made his first-team debut with La Racing.
The 183-cm-tall goalkeeper played 43 games for Strasbourg and in 2011 he signed a deal with fellow Ligue 2 side Boulogne. After making 93 appearances for the club from 2011 to 2014, Regis Gurtner joined Le Havre at the end of the 2013/2014 season, but he played no more than four games for les Ciel et Marine.
Gurtner signed for Amiens in 2015 and he established himself as a first-choice goalkeeper for the 2016/2017 Ligue 2 season, keeping 12 clean sheets in 38 appearances in the league for les Licornes. At the end of the season Amiens secured promotion to the French elite division, with the team finishing the campaign in second place in the standings, only one point behind Strasbourg.
Highlighted Team (Reims):

Reims are a French football club founded in 1931. Reims welcome their rivals at Stade Auguste Delaune, which can hold up to 21,684 people. Believe it or not, Reims won six Ligue 1 titles (1948/1949, 1952/1953, 1954/1955, 1957/1958, 1959/1960, 1961/1962). To make things even better for the fans, Reims participated in the European Cup final on two occasions.
In 1956 they faced Real Madrid in the title game and despite taking the lead after six minutes, the French side eventually suffered a 4-3 loss to los Blancos at Parc des Princes. Three years later Reims had a chance to get their revenge on Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants once again won the European Cup, with Mateos and Di Stefano finding the net in the 2-0 victory over Albert Batteux.
The club’s most notable footballer is Just Fontaine, who scored 13 goals for France at the 1958 FIFA World Cup finals. Reims’ home colours are red and white, with the team wearing white when playing on the road.
