Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Bordeaux will be aiming to put an end to their three-match winless run in Ligue 1 when they host Dijon at their Stade Matmut Atlantique. Les Girondins have been struggling in front of goal of late, but they will not have a better chance than this to return to winning ways as Dijon are not regarded as good travellers. The good news for the home side is that experienced defender Paul Baysse returns to the starting XI after serving his ban in the goalless draw with Nice.
Les hiboux, on the other hand, made a slow start to the season, with the team collecting only one point in total from the first five league fixtures. Dijon experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 2-2 draw with Montpellier, and seeing that Yassine Benzia remains in the recovery room, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts.

Highlighted Player (Mexer):

Edson Andre Sitoe “Mexer”, who was born in Maputo, Mozambique on September 8, 1988, began his senior career at Desportivo Maputo and he scored three goals in 97 appearances for the club. Mexer played for his home-town club from 2006 to 2010 and in the winter of 2010 he joined Portuguese side Sporting for a fee of €173,000.
The Mozambique centre-back was quickly loaned to Olhanense and it has to be noted that he made 39 appearances for the Primeira Liga club in the league. In 2012 he was sold to fellow Portuguese outfit Nacional and after playing 57 league games for the club, Mexer moved to France. The 187-cm-tall footballer signed a contract with Rennes in January, 2014 and he has been playing for les Rouges et Noirs ever since.
Mexer made his debut for Mozambique national team in 2007 and he represented Os Mambas at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations. He scored his first goal for Mozambique in a 5-0 win over South Sudan in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Highlighted Team (Dijon):

Founded in 1998, Dijon is a result of a merger between two local clubs. The Mustards played their first ever match in the Ligue 1 on August 7, 2011, with the team suffering a heavy 5-1 loss on their debut in the French top flight. After suffering relegation to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2011/2012 season, the club returned to the French elite division in 2016.
The Mustards finished the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign in 16th place in the standings, only one point clear of the relegation zone. Dijon are well known for their red jerseys, while they wear white when playing on the road. The Mustards welcome their rivals at Stade Gaston Gerard, the venue which was both built and opened in 1934. In the 1998/1999 season the club recorded a historical 12-1 Coupe de France win over Mahault Baie and that is considered the club’s biggest ever win in a competitive match.
Stephane Mangione, who made 181 appearances for the club, is regarded as one of the team’s famous players.
