Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Caen and Monaco, the two relegation-threatened sides, square off against each other at Stade Michel d’Ornano on Matchday 14. Caen are only one point clear of the relegation zone ahead of Saturday’s football match and they are on a five-game winless run in the French top flight. The Stade Michel d’Ornano troops failed to score in four of their last five league fixtures, but seeing that Monaco have been totally out of form of late, we predict that the hosts are going to grab something from the relegation six-pointer. Les Rouges et Blancs suffered a heavy 4-0 loss to PSG in what used to be the Ligue 1 derby and it is more than obvious that the last season’s runners-up are low on confidence. Thierry Henry is not doing a good job with Monaco, but seeing that the former Arsenal superstar has a number of high-profile players to choose from, we predict that the visitors are going to grab something from Saturday’s clash as well.

Highlighted Player (Frédéric Guilbert):

Despite his modest height for a centre-back, Frederic Guilbert is a remarkably strong in aerial duels. Former France U21 international is a player of great positional awareness and tactical discipline who makes immense defensive contribution for his team.
A versatile defender who can play in various positions across the backline, Guilbert can also be deployed as a right midfielder where his speed and agility come to play. Born in Valognes, Frederic Guilbert spent all of his career playing in France although he has thus far failed to spend more than two seasons at a single club. Spells at Caen, AS Cherbourg, Bordeaux were insufficient for Guilbert to secure regular playing time and prove his worth, which he hopes would change at Caen.
Guilbert joined the Stade Michel d’Ornano based club on a permanent deal in 2017, after a season-long loan spell away from Bordeaux. He went on to play 42 matches across all competitions in his second season with Caen and has done well to announce himself as an important player for the French side.
Highlighted Team (Monaco):

Though based in Monaco, Les Rouges et Blances – as they are commonly referred to – play their games in the French football league system. Members of the top tier Ligue 1, Monaco play their home matches at the Stade Louis II in Fontvieille in front of 18,500 people. The Principality club boasts a turbulent history, which saw Monaco reach the highest heights of both domestic and international scene, but also get relegated to the amateur leagues at the very beginnings and to Ligue 2 in 2010-11 season.
The following year AS Monaco were acquired by the Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, whose heavy investments turned the Principality club into one of the biggest spenders in Europe in 2013 and reestablishing its place among Europe’s top clubs.
AS Monaco have had notable European results in the modern football era having been runners-up in the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup in 1992 and the UEFA Champions League in 2004. One of the most successful clubs in France AS Monaco have so far won seven league titles and five Coupe de France trophies.
