Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
The venue for the Caen against Nimes match on Wednesday will be the Stade Michel-d'Ornano where the home side will be looking to turn things around and finally record a win after a run of eight games without triumph in all competitions. In the last six matches they managed three losses and three draws. Their last match was an away from home draw against Angers. The last time they won was at the end of September. Their opponents Nimes are picking up their form in the last few games. Out of their last five games they only lost once and have won three out of four. The last two wins were against mid-table Strasbourg and the struggling Amiens. They have also won their last two away games scoring five goals and conceding none. All the stats point to another Nimes win away from home and that Caen will once more struggle to get on the score sheet.
Highlighted Player (Alexander Djiku):

Alexander Djiku is yet another product of Bastia youth school. Djiku’s main position is centre-back, but he is used as a right-back as well. The 182-cm tall footballer of Senegalese descent made his senior debut with Bastia in December 2013 in a Coupe de la Ligue game against Evian.
After scoring one goal in 45 appearances for les Bleus in the league, Djiku joined Ligue 1 side Caen on July 11, 2017, signing a four-year contract with the Stade Michel D’Ornano outfit. The French defender has a contract with Caen, which should expire on June 30, 2022.
Djiku is well known for his reckless tackles and it is important to note that he was shown 10 yellow cards in 28 appearances for Caen in the 2017/2018 Ligue 1 campaign. Alexander Djiku wears No. 24 jersey when playing for Caen, but he has yet to make his debut with the French national team.
Highlighted Team (Nimes):

Founded on April 10, 1937 Nimes Olympique are a French club that will compete in the Ligue 1 in the 2018/2019 season. Les crocodiles were playing an important role in French football in the last 50s, with the team finishing second on four occasions (1958, 1959, 1960, 1972).
Nimes made it to the French Cup final in 1958, 1961 and 1996, but they eventually failed to lift the trophy. Nimes are well known for their red home colours, but they wear white shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. Stade de Costieres has been the home of Nimes since 1989, when it was opened.
The venue can hold up to 18,482 spectators and the construction cost €160 million. Speaking of the club’s notable footballers, the likes of Wilson Oruma, Mehmed Bazdarevic, Aliou Cisse, Benjamin Moukandjo, Laurent Blanc, Frederic Piquionne and Eric Cantona were all part of les crocodiles in the past. Montpellier are considered their biggest rivals.
