Our football match prediction:
Buoyed by a 2-0 win over Bordeaux, Caen welcome Olympique Marseille at their Stade Michel d’Ornano on Matchday 22. Patrice Garande’s men put an end to their six-game winless run in the national championship, with the team climbing to tenth position in the standings. Caen are on the right track to secure yet another Ligue 1 survival, but the season is quite long and they will have to be at their sharpest in upcoming fixtures if they are to remain in the safe zone. Marseille recorded a hard-fought 2-0 win over Strasbourg at home and thanks to triumph they managed to overcome title holders Monaco in third place in the Ligue 1 table. OM are on a four-game winning run in all competitions and they are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in Friday’s football match. Dimitri Payet came as a substitute and scored in the 2-0 win over Strasbourg and he is likely to be recalled to the starting line-up. Olympique Marseille have been in a fine form of late and away win should be considered.
