Our football match prediction:
After sharing the spoils with the likes of Caen and Montpellier, Guingamp will be looking to start a new winning run in the Ligue 1 when they host Metz at their Stade du Roudourou. Antoine Kombouare’s men are still sitting in the middle of the table, but they are only five points behind fifth-placed Nantes. Guingamp aim to move a little closer to the Europa League berth and that they are going to pick up all three points from Saturday’s football match. The rock-bottom side, on the other hand, have slim chances of securing yet another Ligue 1 survival and we do not believe that they are capable of upsetting Antoine Kombouare’s team at Stade du Roudorou. You should bear in mind that les Grenats are on a four-game losing run in all competitions at the moment, with the team failing to score in previous two league fixtures.

Highlighted Player (Karl-Johan Johnsson):
Born in Ranneslov (Sweden) on January 28, 1990 Karl-Johan Johansson started his youth career at his home-town club Ranneslovs GIF. In 2005 he joined Halmstadts and four years later he made his first-team debut for HBK. The 187-cm-tall goalkeeper made 67 appearances in the league for Halmstads and in 2013 he signed for NEC as a free agent. Karl-Johan Johnsson played 30 games for the Dutch club during the 2013/2014 Eredivisie campaign and in the summer of 2014 he moved to Randers. The Swedish shoot-stopper spent two seasons at Randers and in 2016 he moved to French club Guingamp. It has to be noted that he managed to keep nine clean sheets in 37 appearances for Guingamp in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign. His contract with the club expires on June 30, 2020. Speaking of his international career, Karl-Johan Johnsson has 17 caps for Sweden U21 and he made his senior debut in 2012 against Qatar.

Highlighted Team (Metz):

Thanks to amalgamation of two amateur clubs Metz were founded in 1932 and soon they became a professional team. Les Grenats are one of the oldest professional teams in France, but they have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy. Metz finished the 1997/1998 season in second place in the standings and it has to be noted that they were level on points with champions Lens (worse goal difference). However, les Grenats won Coupe de France on two occasions (1983/1984, 1987/1988), with the team beating Monaco and Sochaux respectively in the title games. Emmanuel Adebayor is considered one of the most famous players who whore Metz jersey and you should know that the Togolese attacker scored 15 goals in 44 appearances in the league for the club. Metz play their home games at Stade Saint-Symphorien, the venue which was opened back in September, 1923. Les Grenats wear red shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst the colour of their away kits is white.
