Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Guingamp will be looking to build on a 2-0 win over Monaco when they welcome Saint-Etienne at their Stade du Roudourou on Matchday 20. This win gave the rock-bottom side a confidence boost, but their battle for survival has just begun. Guingamp need to keep on improving their game if they are to avoid relegation to Ligue 2, but they will have a big fish to fry in Saturday’s football match against Saint-Etienne. Les Verts head into the match following a splendid 6-0 victory over Stade de la Meinau and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Guingamp. A lively contest is on the cards at Stade du Roudourou, but we believe that the visitors are closer to winning the match than the hosts. In previous two meetings between the two teams in Ligue 1 Saint-Etienne emerged triumphant.

Highlighted Player (Lucas Deaux):

Born in Reims, France on December 26, 1998 Lucas Deaux started his career at Reims. The right-footed midfielder scored seven goals in 117 appearances in the league for the Stade Auguste Delaune outfit and he moved to Nantes in the 2012 summer transfer window. Deaux quickly established himself as a first-team regular at the club and you should bear in mind that he played no less than 119 league matches for les Canaris from 2012 to 2015.
In 2016 he moved to Belgium, signing a deal with Gent, but he made only five appearances for de Buffalo’s in the Belgian top flight. Lucas Deaux soon returned to France as he signed a three-year-deal with Guingamp on July 1, 2016. His main position is defensive midfield, but he is capable of playing as a centre-back as well if needed.
His preferred foot is right and the 188-cm-tall footballer is very good in the air. Lucas Deaux scored two goals, while providing five assists for his teammates in 38 appearances for Guingamp in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign.
Highlighted Team (St Etienne):

Saint Etienne are a professional football club that compete in French Ligue 1. Les Verts were founded in 1919 by employees of a grocery store chain based in Saint Etienne. Saint Etienne wear green shirts and white shorts when playing at home ground and they play their home matches at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard.
The stadium was opener on 13 September, 1931 and following the renovation the capacity of the venue increased to 42 000. In 1981 les Verts won their tenth Ligue 1 trophy, but they have been in the shadow of Ligue 1 giants Lyon and PSG in the 21st century.
Speaking of the club’s European success, Saint Etienne made it to the European Cup (Champions League) final in 1976, but Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich proved to be a big catch for the French outfit. Anyhow, that is regarded as the club’s biggest success. It has to be noted that the likes of Michel Platini, Jacques Santini, Laurent Blanc and Aime Jacquet all played for Saint Etienne in the past.
