Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Lille and Guingamp square off against each other at Stade Pierre-Mauroy on day 3 of the new Ligue 1 campaign. Lille kicked off the new season with a 3-1 victory over Renners, with the team holding Monaco to a goalless draw at Stade Louis II at the weekend. It has to be noted that les Rouges et Blancs missed a penalty in the second half of the match. Anyhow, les Dogues aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration and we predict that they are going to adopt an attack-minded approach in Sunday’s football match against Guingamp, who suffered a 3-1 loss to PSG at the weekend. Antoine Kombouare’s troops are desperate to make amends for back-to-back losses to Saint-Etienne and PSG, but seeing that Lille made a promising start to the season, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed.

Highlighted Player (Anwar el Ghazi):

Anwar El Ghazi is a product of famous Ajax football academy and it has to be noted that he scored 20 goals in 70 matches for the first team from 2014 to 2017. El Ghazi played for the likes of BVV Barendrecht, Feyenoord, Spartaan ’20 and Sparta Rotterdam during his youth career as well and, speaking of the first-team football, he moved to Ligue 1 side Lille in January 2017 for a fee of €8 million.
The pacey winger scored one goal in 12 appearances for les Dogues in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign, but, no doubt, there is a bright future ahead of the former Ajax starlet. Seeing that he has a dual citizenship, Anwar El Ghazi is eligible to represent both Netherlands and Morocco at senior level, but he made his debut for the Orange in a 2-1 win over Kazakhstan, with the Lille winger starting the match in a 4-3-3 formation alongside Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Memphis Depay.
Anwar El Ghazi is capable of playing as a centre-forward as well and his preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Guingamp):

En Avant de Guingamp Cotes-d’Armor are a French football club based in the commune of Guingamp. Guingamp was founded back in 1912 and it has to be noted that a number of top-class footballers played for the club in the past. The likes of Didier Drogba, Florent Malouda, Fabrice Abriel and Vincent Candela all wore Guingamp’s shirt and, no doubt, the club served them as a springboard.
Guingamp returned to the Ligue 1 in 2013 and they have been competing in the French elite division ever since. In 1996 the French team did well to win the Intertoto Cup and book their place in European competitions for the first time ever. However, Italian giants proved to be a big catch for the Ligue 1 club in the first round of the UEFA Cup.
One year later Guingamp made it to the French Cup final, but they were more than unfortunate not to lift the trophy. After playing out a draw with Nice in the regular time, the Stade de Roudourou outfit were eventually beaten by les Aiglones on penalties.
