Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Lille play host to Rennes at their Stade Pierre-Mauroy in the opening match of the season. Lille were producing fine performances in pre-season, but they head into Saturday’s football game following a 2-1 loss to Leicester City. Les Dogues were more than fortunate not to suffer a relegation in the Ligue 2 in the last season finale and, no doubt, they are determined to kick-off the new Ligue 1 campaign in style. Rennes, on the other hand, did well to hold star-studded Borussia Dortmund to a 1-1 draw in their last warm-up game, which is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of Saturday’s football game. Lille and Rennes seem to be evenly matched ahead of the opening match of the season and we predict that they are going to play out a draw at Stade Pierre-Mauroy this weekend.
