Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Buoyed by a splendid 4-0 win over Toulouse, Olympique Marseille take on Nimes at Stade des Costieres in what is expected to be a very interesting game. OM proved their worth in the triumph over les Pitchouns, with Dimitri Payet scoring a brace for Rudi Garcia’s troops. Olympique Marseille aim to stay in the race for the title and despite the fact that Nimes recorded a thrilling 4-3 win over Angers in their opener, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the visitors. Rudi Garcia has a full squad to choose from and we predict his men will prove their worth on the field. Thauvin came as a substitute against Toulouse and scored, meaning that he should return to the starting XI. It has to be noted that Nimes are eyeing their first ever win over Olympique Marseille in the Ligue 1.

Highlighted Player (Anthony Briancon):

Born in Avignon, France on November 28, 1994, Anthony Brianco is a defender who is a product of Nimes youth academy. His main position is centre-back, but the French footballer is used as a defensive midfielder as well. Briancon made his senior debut for Nimes in Ligue 2 on May 16, 2014 against Creteil, coming as a substitute for Pierre Bouby in the 54th minute of the match.
The two teams shared the spoils (1-1) and it is important to note that Anthony Briancon has been playing for les crocodiles ever since. The French defender has a contract with Nimes which should expire on June 30, 2021. Briancon scored his first ever goal for les crocodiles in January 2016 in a thrilling 6-2 victory over Clermont.
The 185-cm-tall defender played an important role in Nimes in the 2017/2018 season, scoring 3 goals in 37 appearances for the club in the process and, no doubt, he helped Bernard Blaquart’s team secure promotion to the French top flight.
Highlighted Team (Olympique Marseille):

Olympique de Marseille are considered one of the best French football clubs. Les Olympiens won their ninth Ligue 1 title in 2010, but winning of the 1992/1993 Champions League trophy is seen as the club’s biggest success. Marseille defeated Italian giants Milan in the title game, with Basile Boli scoring the winner (1-0) in the Olympiastadion showdown.
It has to be noted, though, that the Stade Velodrome outfit were banned from defending the title in the 1993/1994 season after being involved in a match-fixing scandal. To make things even worse for the fans, the club suffered enforced relegation to the Ligue 2. Olympique de Marseille participated in the Europa League final on two occasions (1998/1999, 2003/2004), but they were beaten by Parma and Valencia respectively in the title games. OM’s home ground Stade Velodrome was opened on June 13, 1997 and the capacity of the stadium is 67.394.
The likes of Franck Ribery, Didier Deschamps, Didier Drogba, Laurent Blanc, Fabien Barthez, Samir Nasri, Fabrizio Ravanelli and Djibril Cisse all played for Marseille in the past.
