Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
As expected, PSG recorded a 3-1 win over Angers on day 3 of the new Ligue 1 campaign. Kylian Mbappe scored his third goal of the season and all eyes will be on the pacey French attacker when PSG take on Nimes at Stade des Costieres on Saturday afternoon. Neymar has found his goal-scoring touch at the start of the season as well and it is no surprise the title holders are seen as hot favourites to beat Nimes on the road this weekend. The newcomers, on the other hand, proved their worth in back-to-back wins over Angers and Olympique Marseille, but they were beaten by Toulouse at Stadium Municipal in their last league fixture. Les Parisiens aim to get their job done in the national championship as soon as possible and we predict that they are going to stick to their attacking style of play against Nimes.
Highlighted Player (Anthony Briancon):

Born in Avignon, France on November 28, 1994, Anthony Brianco is a defender who is a product of Nimes youth academy. His main position is centre-back, but the French footballer is used as a defensive midfielder as well. Briancon made his senior debut for Nimes in Ligue 2 on May 16, 2014 against Creteil, coming as a substitute for Pierre Bouby in the 54th minute of the match.
The two teams shared the spoils (1-1) and it is important to note that Anthony Briancon has been playing for les crocodiles ever since. The French defender has a contract with Nimes which should expire on June 30, 2021. Briancon scored his first ever goal for les crocodiles in January 2016 in a thrilling 6-2 victory over Clermont.
The 185-cm-tall defender played an important role in Nimes in the 2017/2018 season, scoring 3 goals in 37 appearances for the club in the process and, no doubt, he helped Bernard Blaquart’s team secure promotion to the French top flight.
Highlighted Team (Paris SG):

Formed by the merger of Paris FC and Stade Saint-Germain in 1970, Paris Saint-Germain or as they call it PSG is the most successful club in French football with 31 domestic titles to their name. Having won six Ligue 1 title so far, a record ten Coupes de France, a record six Coupes de la Ligue, six Trophees des Champions and one Ligue 2 title, PSG are also one of only two French clubs to ever win a European title.
Les Parisiens were crowned UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup champions back in 1995-96, while their last European trophy was the 2001 UEFA Intertoto Cup. Beginning of the new millennium was particularly hard for the celebrated club who flirted with relegation in 2000s before they were bought by the Quatar Sports Investments group in 2011 when the rebirth of the Paris Saint-Germain as we know it today began.
Following heavy squad investments and team boosting, PSG won their first Ligue 1 title in 19 years with Swedish legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic almost singlehandedly leading his side towards the trophy with 30 goals. Having established domestic dominance, PSG now set their sights on winning the Champions League which remains an elusive dream for the club from Paris.
