Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Nice will be looking to return to winning ways in the Ligue 1 when they host Amiens at their Allianz Riviera on Matchday 20. Following four consecutive wins in the national championship, les Aiglons played out a 1-1 draw with Nice in their last league fixture, but, no doubt, they managed to get back on course. Nice are a real force to be reckoned with at home and we predict Mario Balotelli and Co. are going to give fans a reason for celebration this weekend. Amiens experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a heavy 6-0 loss to Sochaux in the Coupe de France at the weekend and they are unlikely to spoil Nice’s party at Allianz Riviera.
Highlighted Player (Mario Balotelli):
Mario Balotelli is a controversial footballer who played for both Inter and Milan in the past. The Italian attacker, who was born on 12 August, 1990, started his senior career at Lumezzane and in 2007 he signed a contract with the Nerazzurri. After scoring 20 goals in 59 league appearances with Inter, he moved to Manchester City in 2010. Super Mario spent three seasons at the Etihad Stadium and he returned to Serie A in 2013, signing a deal with Inter’s fiercest rivals Milan this time out. Balotelli scored 26 goals in 43 league games with the Rossoneri, but in the summer of 2014 he signed for Liverpool for a fee of £16 million. The Italian attacker is well known for his powerful shoot, but he often struggles to control his volatile temper. Super Mario impressed at the 2012 European Championship finals and he helped Italy make it to the final of the tournament. However, Spain proved to be a big catch for the Azzurri in the title game.
Highlighted Team (Amiens):
Amiens are a French football club that compete in Ligue 1. Les Licornes (The Unicorns) finished the 2016/2017 Ligue 2 campaign in second place in the standings and, as a result, they secured promotion to the French top flight for the first time ever. Amiens got their job done on the final day of the season, with Emmanuel Bourgaud scoring a late winner in the game against Reims. The club was founded back in 1901 by a group of players from the Association du Lycee d’Amiens and nowadays les Licornes play their home games at Stade de La Licorne. The capacity of the venue is 12.097 and it was opened on July 24, 1999. Experienced midfielder Mathieu Bodmer joined the club in the summer of 2017 and he is considered one of the team’s best players. The experienced defender used to play for the likes of Lyon, Lille, and Paris Saint-Germain in the past. Amiens play their home games in white shirts and white shorts, while they wear black when playing on the road.
