Our football match prediction:
Nice quickly bounced back from a heart-breaking 5-0 loss to Olympique Lyon, with the team beating Toulouse at Stadium Municipal on Matchday 15. The win over les Gones gave les Aiglons a confidence boost, but they do not want to stop now. Nice aim to keep on climbing the Ligue 1 standings and they are seen as hot favourites to win Saturday’s football match against les Grenats. The rock-bottom team are having a season to remember and seeing that they failed to score in previous five league fixtures, the visitors are unlikely to spoil Nice’s party at Allianz Riviera. The hosts are showings signs of improvement and we predict they are going to build on the 2-1 win over Toulouse when they face les Grenats on Matchday 16. A man to watch in the home team will be Mario Balotelli, who scored his seventh goal of the season against les Pitchouns.
Highlighted Player (Mario Balotelli):
Mario Balotelli is a controversial footballer who played for both Inter and Milan in the past. The Italian attacker, who was born on 12 August, 1990, started his senior career at Lumezzane and in 2007 he signed a contract with the Nerazzurri. After scoring 20 goals in 59 league appearances with Inter, he moved to Manchester City in 2010. Super Mario spent three seasons at the Etihad Stadium and he returned to Serie A in 2013, signing a deal with Inter’s fiercest rivals Milan this time out. Balotelli scored 26 goals in 43 league games with the Rossoneri, but in the summer of 2014 he signed for Liverpool for a fee of £16 million. The Italian attacker is well known for his powerful shoot, but he often struggles to control his volatile temper. Super Mario impressed at the 2012 European Championship finals and he helped Italy make it to the final of the tournament. However, Spain proved to be a big catch for the Azzurri in the title game.
Highlighted Team (Metz):
Thanks to amalgamation of two amateur clubs Metz were founded in 1932 and soon they became a professional team. Les Grenats are one of the oldest professional teams in France, but they have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy. Metz finished the 1997/1998 season in second place in the standings and it has to be noted that they were level on points with champions Lens (worse goal difference). However, les Grenats won Coupe de France on two occasions (1983/1984, 1987/1988), with the team beating Monaco and Sochaux respectively in the title games. Emmanuel Adebayor is considered one of the most famous players who whore Metz jersey and you should know that the Togolese attacker scored 15 goals in 44 appearances in the league for the club. Metz play their home games at Stade Saint-Symphorien, the venue which was opened back in September, 1923. Les Grenats wear red shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst the colour of their away kits is white.
