Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Bordeaux are on a bad run at the moment, with just one win in six games and three defeats in a row, two in the league and one in Europa league. They are travelling to Lyon, to the Stade des Lumiares, to take on the home team who are also struggling for any real form but have recorded only one defeat in their last six matches. In fact, they have only lost once in the last ten games, winning five and drawing four. At home, they are unbeaten since late August, and have only lost once since the last few games of the previous season. Bordeaux are struggling right now, even though they are eight in the table. They have won just one of the last eight games away from home while scoring only five goals, three of which were in that one win against Guingamp. However, they haven’t been beaten by Lyon in the last two seasons. We might be looking at a draw.

Highlighted Player (Bertrand Traore):

Bertrand Traore is a pacey left-footed winger who plays for Ajax on loan from Chelsea. The Burkina Faso footballers scored 17 goals in 48 league appearances for Vitesse before joining Ajax on 12 August, 2016. Traore made his Ajax debut in a 2-2 draw with Roda, coming as a substitute in the second half of the game.
He made his Champions League debut for the Amsterdammers against Rostov on August, 2016. Bertrand, though, is still a Chelsea player and his contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit expires on 30 June, 2019. Traore a winger, but he is capable of playing as a centre forward as well.
The Burkina Faso footballer was born on 6 September, 1995 and he made his debut for the Burkina Faso national team on 3 September, 2011 in a friendly game against Equatorial Guinea. The same year he won the Africa under 17 championship with Burkina Faso as the Stallions defeated Rwanda in the final of the tournament.
Highlighted Team (Bordeaux):

Founded in 1881, Bordeaux are regarded as one of the oldest clubs in France. Les Girondins won their first Ligue 1 trophy in 1950 and 59 years later (2008/2009) they lifted their sixth domestic trophy.
Speaking of the club’s European success, Bordeaux did remarkably well to make it to the Champions League semi-finals in 1985, but despite recording a 2-0 win over star-studded Juventus in the return leg, the French club eventually failed to book their place in the final of the elite competition.
Famous French footballers Alain Giresse and Jean Tigana were part of the team back then and it has to be noted that Giresse is the player who made the most appearances for les Girondins (587). During the nineties Zinedine Zidane, Christophe Dugarry and Bixente Lizarazu played for Bordeaux and, taking everything into account, it is no surprise they are considered one of the most famous French clubs.
Nowadays Les Girondins welcome their rivals at Matmut Atlantique, the stadium which was opened in 2015 and they used to play at Stade Chaban-Delmas in the past.
