Our football match prediction:
Olympique Lyon will be aiming to build on a thrilling 5-0 win over Troyes when they host Metz at their Groupama Stadium. Les Gones have been scoring goals for fun in the Ligue 1 this season and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against les Grenats. Former Manchester United man Memphis Depay scored a hat-trick against Troyes and all eyes will be on the pacey winger when Lyon face Metz on Matchday 11. Bruno Genesio’s men are a real force to be reckoned with at home and you should know that they scored 3+ goals in four of their five home league fixtures. Metz, on the other hand, head into Sunday’s football match following a heart-breaking 2-1 loss to Dijon and seeing that the rock-bottom team are on a four-game losing run in the national championship, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts this time out.
Highlighted Player (Bertrand Traore):
Bertrand Traore is a pacey left-footed winger who plays for Ajax on loan from Chelsea. The Burkina Faso footballers scored 17 goals in 48 league appearances for Vitesse before joining Ajax on 12 August, 2016. Traore made his Ajax debut in a 2-2 draw with Roda, coming as a substitute in the second half of the game. He made his Champions League debut for the Amsterdammers against Rostov on August, 2016. Bertrand, though, is still a Chelsea player and his contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit expires on 30 June, 2019. Traore a winger, but he is capable of playing as a centre forward as well. The Burkina Faso footballer was born on 6 September, 1995 and he made his debut for the Burkina Faso national team on 3 September, 2011 in a friendly game against Equatorial Guinea. The same year he won the African U17 Championship with Burkina Faso as the Stallions defeated Rwanda in the final of the tournament.
Highlighted Team (Metz):
Thanks to amalgamation of two amateur clubs Metz were founded in 1932 and soon they became a professional team. Les Grenats are one of the oldest professional teams in France, but they have yet to win the Ligue 1 trophy. Metz finished the 1997/1998 season in second place in the standings and it has to be noted that they were level on points with champions Lens (worse goal difference). However, les Grenats won Coupe de France on two occasions (1983/1984, 1987/1988), with the team beating Monaco and Sochaux respectively in the title games. Emmanuel Adebayor is considered one of the most famous players who whore Metz jersey and you should know that the Togolese attacker scored 15 goals in 44 appearances in the league for the club. Metz play their home games at Stade Saint-Symphorien, the venue which was opened back in September, 1923. Les Grenats wear red shirts and white shorts when playing at home, whilst the colour of their away kits is white.
