Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Reims came up to Ligue 1 this years as Champions of Ligue 2. They will be playing Dijon at the Auguste-Delaune Stadium in Reims. Dijon finished last season in 11th place. Reims as newcomers, have started the season great, winning the two opening matches. Then reality of fighting in the top French division sank in and they suffered two defeats followed by a draw against Nantes in their last match. Dijon have started even better winning three games in a row but have since slumped to two defeats against Angers and Caen. Both teams need a lift which will only come from a win. From their 16 head to head games, Dijon have won 10 while Reims have won only two. However, Reims did win in their last encounter, before the start of this season when Reims won 2:1. This game will be close and will probably finish in a draw.

Highlighted Player (Julian Jeanvier):

Julian Jeanvier is a French footballer born in Clichy on March 31, 1992. Jeanvier plays for Championship side Brentford as a centre-back, but he began his senior career at Nancy II. After making 6 appearances for the senior team, the French defender joined Lille II in 2013.
Jeanvier then played for the likes of Mouscron-Peruwelz and Red Star on loan and in August, 2016 he signed a deal with French club Reims. The 185-cm-tall defender was producing splendid displays with Reims in the French second tier and, as a result, he was voted into the Ligue 2 Team of the Year at the end of the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons.
In July, 2018 he joined Championship side Brentford, signing a four-year contract with the Bees for an undisclosed fee. Speaking of his international career, Jeanvier was part of the France U18 team that won the silver medal at the 2010 Copa del Atlantico. However, the Brentford centre-back has yet to make his debut for the senior team.
Highlighted Team (Dijon):

Founded in 1998, Dijon is a result of a merger between two local clubs. The Mustards played their first ever match in the Ligue 1 on August 7, 2011, with the team suffering a heavy 5-1 loss on their debut in the French top flight. After suffering relegation to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2011/2012 season, the club returned to the French elite division in 2016.
The Mustards finished the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign in 16th place in the standings, only one point clear of the relegation zone. Dijon are well known for their red jerseys, while they wear white when playing on the road. The Mustards welcome their rivals at Stade Gaston Gerard, the venue which was both built and opened in 1934. In the 1998/1999 season the club recorded a historical 12-1 Coupe de France win over Mahault Baie and that is considered the club’s biggest ever win in a competitive match.
Stephane Mangione, who made 181 appearances for the club, is regarded as one of the team’s famous players.
