Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
The Sunday afternoon kick-off game is a match between Saint Etienne and Angers, at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard. St Etienne will definitely want to try and climb above Marseille in the table, who are fifth. Angers are in 12th place. Both teams were winless in the last round. St Etienne played a 1:1 draw away to Nimes. Angers welcomed Lyon but they lost 2:1. Saint Etienne are playing well in the last six matches but are without a win in the last three games. Overall, in their last ten games, they won only three games, lost two and drew five. However, they are without a defeat at home this year. They managed three wins and two draws, including the last once against Rennes. Angers have won three games in the last ten with three draws and four losses. They are unbeaten away from home in the last three, since they lost in Paris to PSG. The winless run for Angers will probably continue in St Etienne.

Highlighted Player (Yann M Vila):

Formerly a blistering talent and one of the most promising youngsters in French football, Yann M’Vila ended up being a class book example of a player who made all the wrong choices. Having started his career at the age of six with ES Sains-Saint-Fussein, M’Villa was quick to turn heads of the big boys. He was given a chance to move through youth ranks at Rennes where he was given a professional debut in 2009 but it was not long after that his problematic lifestyle came back to haunt him.
Yann M’Villa got suspended from all national teams after an unauthorized night out while on U21 duty with France, a ban which left mark on his club career as well. Despite interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham, M’Villa was sold to Rubin kazan in January 2013 which was the time his nomadic experience as a footballer began.
Spells as Inter Milan and Sunderland failed to help him get back to prominence and meet the early expectations, however. Currently a St Etienne player, M’Villa is hoping to re-establish himself back in his homeland.
Highlighted Team (Angers):

French Football Federation was founded in 1919, with French football club Angers being founded the same year. Les Scoistes returned to the French top flight at the end of the 2014/2015 season and they finished the 2015/2016 Ligue 1 campaign in ninth place in the standings.
Angers were having their ups and downs in the 2016/2017 season and, as a result, they finished 12th. Les Scoistes are well known for their black jerseys with white stripes, whilst the color of their away kits is white. Stade Raymond Kopa is the team’s home ground and the capacity of the stadium is 17.835.
The venues was opened back in 1912 and the stadium’s record attendance is 22.989 (April 26, 1969 vs. Olympique Marseille). Speaking of the club’s most notable players, we have to mention Fahid Ben Khalfallah, Vladica Kovacevic, Claudiu Keseru, Paul Alo’o, Amar Rouai and Cedric Daury. It has to be noted that the 2017/2018 season will be their 24th in the French top flight.
