Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Saint-Etienne will be aiming to build on a 4-3 win over Angers when they host Reims at their Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on Matchday 13. Saint-Etienne have been impressive at home ground this term and you should know that they are after their sixth home win of the season. Les Verts are determined to book their place in European competitions and we predict that they are going to fight tooth and nail against Reims. David Guion’s men have been producing some descent performances in the French top flight of late and they head into Saturday’s football game following back-to-back wins over the likes of Rennes and Monaco. Reims managed to keep four clean sheets in previous five league fixtures, but we do not believe that they are capable of preventing Saint-Etienne attackers from scoring. A man to watch in the home side will be Tunisia international Wahbi Khazri, who has netted five goals in the 2018/2019 season to date.

Highlighted Player (Yann M Vila):

Formerly a blistering talent and one of the most promising youngsters in French football, Yann M’Vila ended up being a class book example of a player who made all the wrong choices. Having started his career at the age of six with ES Sains-Saint-Fussein, M’Villa was quick to turn heads of the big boys. He was given a chance to move through youth ranks at Rennes where he was given a professional debut in 2009 but it was not long after that his problematic lifestyle came back to haunt him.
Yann M’Villa got suspended from all national teams after an unauthorized night out while on U21 duty with France, a ban which left mark on his club career as well. Despite interest from the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham, M’Villa was sold to Rubin kazan in January 2013 which was the time his nomadic experience as a footballer began.
Spells as Inter Milan and Sunderland failed to help him get back to prominence and meet the early expectations, however. Currently a St Etienne player, M’Villa is hoping to re-establish himself back in his homeland.
Highlighted Team (Reims):

Reims are a French football club founded in 1931. Reims welcome their rivals at Stade Auguste Delaune, which can hold up to 21,684 people. Believe it or not, Reims won six Ligue 1 titles (1948/1949, 1952/1953, 1954/1955, 1957/1958, 1959/1960, 1961/1962). To make things even better for the fans, Reims participated in the European Cup final on two occasions.
In 1956 they faced Real Madrid in the title game and despite taking the lead after six minutes, the French side eventually suffered a 4-3 loss to los Blancos at Parc des Princes. Three years later Reims had a chance to get their revenge on Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants once again won the European Cup, with Mateos and Di Stefano finding the net in the 2-0 victory over Albert Batteux.
The club’s most notable footballer is Just Fontaine, who scored 13 goals for France at the 1958 FIFA World Cup finals. Reims’ home colours are red and white, with the team wearing white when playing on the road.
