Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Nantes will be looking to build on a stunning 5-0 win over Guingamp when they take on Rennes at Roazhon Park on Matchday 13. Les Canaris are eyeing their fourth consecutive win in the French top flight, but beating les Rouges et Noirs on the road is easier said than done. Vahid Halilhodzic’s troops have been scoring goals for fun of late and we predict that they are going to stick to their attacking style of play against Rennes. Les Rouges et Noirs did well to beat Caen on the road in their last league match, which is the main reason why we believe that they are going to grab something from Sunday’s football game against Nantes. In their last meeting in the national championship the two teams shared the spoils and we believe that the history is going to repeat itself when they face at Roazhon Park this weekend.

Highlighted Player (Mexer):

Edson Andre Sitoe “Mexer”, who was born in Maputo, Mozambique on September 8, 1988, began his senior career at Desportivo Maputo and he scored three goals in 97 appearances for the club. Mexer played for his home-town club from 2006 to 2010 and in the winter of 2010 he joined Portuguese side Sporting for a fee of €173,000.
The Mozambique centre-back was quickly loaned to Olhanense and it has to be noted that he made 39 appearances for the Primeira Liga club in the league. In 2012 he was sold to fellow Portuguese outfit Nacional and after playing 57 league games for the club, Mexer moved to France. The 187-cm-tall footballer signed a contract with Rennes in January, 2014 and he has been playing for les Rouges et Noirs ever since.
Mexer made his debut for Mozambique national team in 2007 and he represented Os Mambas at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations. He scored his first goal for Mozambique in a 5-0 win over South Sudan in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Highlighted Team (Nantes):

Founded on April 21, 1943 Nantes is a professional football club that compete in French Ligue 1. Les Canaris are considered one of the most famous French clubs and they had a lot of success during the sixties and the seventies. Nantes won their first Ligue 1 title in the 1964/1965 season and 36 years later (2000/2001) they clinched their eighth (last) domestic trophy.
Speaking of the club’s European success, les Canaris did well to make it to the Champions League semis in 1996, but Italian giants Juventus proved to be a big catch for the French outfit. Nantes welcome their rivals at La Beaujoire-Louis Fonteneau and the capacity of the stadium is 38.004.
The likes of Vahid Halilhodzic, Adel Selimi, Michel Der Zakarian, Viorel Moldovan, Mario Yepes, Marcel Desailly, Didier Deschamps, Claude Makelele, Christian Karembeu and Dimitri Payet are the notable footballers who played for the club in the past. Nantes are well known for their yellow jerseys and that is the reason why they are nicknamed the Canaries (les Canaris).
