Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
This middle of the table clash is the first match scheduled for Sunday. The 11th placed Rennes are welcoming the 13th placed Reims at the Stade de la Route-de-Lorient. They are separated by one point in the table. In their last six matches, Rennes recorded just one victory, against Monaco, with three defeats and two draws, including the one against St Etienne in the last round. Reims have struggled to score since the opening of the season and have put the goal in the net only five times in ten games. They have only scored 2 goals in their last six matches during which they have one loss and five draws, four of which were goalless. Rennes have played well at home, losing only to PSG in their last nine home games, while Reims haven’t won away since the opening day of the season. If Reims can score, they could be in with a chance but otherwise, Rennes should go away with a win here.

Highlighted Player (Damien Da Silva):

Damien Da Silva is a French footballer of Portuguese descent. Da Silva has a dual citizenship, but he represented France at youth level, making two appearances for the U19 team. Speaking of his club career, the 183-cm-tall defender played for Niort (2006-2009) before joining Chateauroux in 2009.
After making only eight appearances for the club Damien Da Silva joined Rouen in 2011 and he quickly established himself as a first-team regular at Stade Robert Diochon outfit. He played 85 games for Rouen and in 2013 he signed a contract with Ligue 2 side Clermont. Da Silva, though, was hungry for a top-flight football and, as a result, he left the club at the end of the 2013/2014 season, signing a contract with Caen.
He has been playing for SMC ever since and it has to be noted that he made 36 appearances for the club in the 2016/2017 Ligue 1 campaign. The Caen centre-back was born in Talence on May 17, 1988 and his preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Reims):

Reims are a French football club founded in 1931. Reims welcome their rivals at Stade Auguste Delaune, which can hold up to 21,684 people. Believe it or not, Reims won six Ligue 1 titles (1948/1949, 1952/1953, 1954/1955, 1957/1958, 1959/1960, 1961/1962). To make things even better for the fans, Reims participated in the European Cup final on two occasions.
In 1956 they faced Real Madrid in the title game and despite taking the lead after six minutes, the French side eventually suffered a 4-3 loss to los Blancos at Parc des Princes. Three years later Reims had a chance to get their revenge on Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants once again won the European Cup, with Mateos and Di Stefano finding the net in the 2-0 victory over Albert Batteux.
The club’s most notable footballer is Just Fontaine, who scored 13 goals for France at the 1958 FIFA World Cup finals. Reims’ home colours are red and white, with the team wearing white when playing on the road.
