Our football match prediction:
Stade de l’Aube will host Saturday’s football game between Troyes and Strasbourg. Troyes aim to make amends for back-to-back losses to the likes of Olympique Lyon and Caen, but their next rivals have been in a fine form of late. Strasbourg are undefeated in previous six games in all competitions and it has to be noted that they defeated Nice at Allianz Riviera in their last away match in the Ligue 1. Le Racing aim to escape the danger zone in the standings and we predict that they are going to spoil Troyes’ party at Stade de l’Aube. Martin Terrier scored his second goal of the season in a 2-2 draw with Angers at the weekend and he is eager to add more goals to his account. Seeing that Troyes are on a three-game losing run ahead of the visit of Strasbourg, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the in-form visitors.
Highlighted Player (Jeremy Cordoval):
Jeremy Cordoval began his senior career at Troyes and he made nine appearances in the league for the club from 2008 to 2010. Cordoval then joined Beauvais and after playing 37 games for the Stade Pierre Brisson outfit, he moved to Cannes at the end of the 2010/2011 season. The 167-cm-tall right back obviously likes changing clubs as he left Cannes at the end of the 2011/2012 campaign, signing a contract with Creteil. After making 35 appearances in the league for les Beliers Jeremy Cordoval joined Nimes in the summer of 2013. The right-footed defender played for Les Crocodiles from 2013 to 2016 and then he made probably the best decision of his career as he signed a deal with Troyes. The Stade de l’ Aube club impressed in the 2016/2017 Ligue 2 campaign and, as a result, Jeremy Cordoval will have a chance to taste a top-flight football. The French footballer was born in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges on January 12, 1990 and his contract with Troyes expires on June 30, 2019.

Highlighted Team (Strasbourg):

Founded back in 1906, Strasbourg are a professional football team that compete in French Ligue 1. Le Racing did remarkably well to win the 1979 Ligue 1 trophy and that is considered the biggest success in the history of the club. Strasbourg won Coupe de France on three occasions (1951, 1966, 2001) and they have three Coupe de la Ligue trophies as well (1964, 1997, 2005). Strasbourg’s main rivals are Metz and the two teams face each other in the Derby de l’Est (The Eastern derby). Le Racing recorded their biggest victory over Valenciennes (10-0) in the 1937-1938 season, whilst they suffered their biggest loss to Limoges (0-8) in the 1959/1960 season. Paraguayan goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert, who is well known for his free-kick abilities, played for the club from 2000 to 2003, but he failed to score in a league match during his spell with the Stade de la Meinau outfit. Speaking of Stade de la Meinau, Strasbourg’s home ground was opened back in 1914 and the capacity of the venue is 29,320.
