Our football match prediction:
Atlanta United have been having their ups and downs in their inaugural MLS season. The Five Stripes made a good start to the season, but their recent form is anything but promising. Following back-to-back defeats to the likes of DC United and New York City, Tata Martino’s men shared the spoils with Portland Timbers at the weekend and, as a result, they dropped to eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Their next rivals Houston Dynamo have been impressive on home soil this season, but their performances on the road leave a lot to be desired and, taking everything into account, we predict that the two teams are going to share the spoils in Sunday’s football match. The two teams meet for the first time ever in the Major League Soccer and it has to be noted that Atlanta United have already drawn three games this season.
Highlighted Player (Carlos Carmona):
Carlos Carmona is a professional footballer who plays for Atalanta as a midfielder. Carmona played for Coquimbo Unido from 2004 to 2007 and then he moved to O’Higgins. However, it has to be noted that he made no more than 17 appearances for the club during his one-season spell. In the summer of 2008 the Chilean footballer moved to Reggina and he made his Serie A debut on 14 September against Torino. Carmona made 32 league appearances for the club in the 2008/2009 Serie A campaign and he remained at Stadio Oreste Granillo for one more season. In 2010 Carlos Carmona signed a deal with Atalanta and he has been playing for Orobici ever since. The Atalanta midfielder has 20 caps for Chile U20 and he made his debut for the senior team against Spain on 19 November, 2008. Carlos Carmona was named in Chile 2015 Copa America squad, but he was eventually forced to withdraw with injury.
Highlighted Team (Houston Dynamo):
Houston Dynamo are an American professional soccer club owned by Jake Silverstein, Gabriel Brener, Ben Guull and Oscar De La Hoya, who is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time. BBVA Compass Stadium is Dynamo’s home ground and the capacity of the venue is 22.039. Houston Dynamo won back-to-back MLS CUP trophies (2006, 2007), with the team beating New England Revolution in each of the two title games. It has to be noted that Houston finished the 2011 and the 2012 seasons as runners-up. In 2008 the Dynamo made it to the North American SuperLiga final, but this time out their old rivals New England Revolution proved to be a big catch for the BBVA Compass Stadium outfit. FC Dallas are regarded as the club’s main rivals and the two teams face each other in the Texas derby. Houston have developed a rivalry with Sporting Kansas City as well. The colours of the club are orange, black and white.
