Our football match prediction:
Following four consecutive wins in MLS, Chicago Fire played out a goalless draw with Orlando City in their last league match. Veljko Paunovic’s troops sit in second place in the Eastern Conference and they will be looking to start a new winning run in the league when they welcome Atlanta United at their Toyota Park. Chicago Fire have been impressive on home soil this season and they are eyeing their sixth straight win in front of home fans. Tata Martino’s troops, on the other hand, suffered a 3-1 loss to Vancouver Whitecaps at the weekend and it is more than obvious that the newcomers produce much better displays in front of home fans. Atlanta United are on a three-game winless run on the road and that is the main reason why we predict the visitors will return home empty-handed from Saturday’s football match. Tata Martino’s team outclassed Chicago earlier in the process (4-0), meaning that the hosts are hungry for revenge.
Highlighted Player (Bastian Schweinsteiger):
After making a name for himself at Bayern Munich, Bastian Schweinsteiger moved to Manchester United in 2015 for a fee of €9 million. The German midfielder won eight Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich, but he has yet to win the Premier League trophy with Manchester United. However, winning the 2014 World Cup trophy with Germany is considered Bastian’s biggest success and it is well known that he won the bronze medal with die Manschaft at the 2006 and the 2010 World Cup finals. Schweinsteiger was born on 1 August, 1984 and he scored 45 goals in 342 appearances for Bayern Munich. The German international, though, failed to impress in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign with Manchester United as he scored no more than one goal in 18 appearances for the Old Trafford outfit. Bastian Schweinsteiger netted once for Germany at the Euro 2016 finals and later in July he married Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic.
Highlighted Team (Atlanta United):
Atlanta United are a Major League Soccer club and they were founded on April 16, 2014. They are based in Atlanta, Georgia and they will make their debut in MLS in 2017. The venue was opened on September 27, 1913 and its’ current capacity is 60.316. However, it has to be noted that the team will play first eight home games of the 2017 season at Bobby Dodd Stadium, while the latter nine fixtures will be hosted by Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Speaking of the club’s colours, Atlanta United footballers wear black and red shirts and black shorts with a little bit of gold mixed in. Gerardo Martino, who used to be in charge of La Liga side Barcelona in the past, will coach Atlanta United in the 2017 MLS season. Tata Martino won the Spanish Super Cup with Barca, while making it to the Copa America final with Argentina on two occasions (2015, 2016).
