Our football match prediction:
High-flying Chicago Fire will be aiming to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they welcome Orlando City at their Toyota Park. Serbian tactician Veljko Paunovic is doing a great job with Chicago and his men sit in second place in the Eastern Conference ahead of the visit of Orlando City. However, a win over Ricardo Kaka and Co. would see them over Toronto in top position in the standings and we predict that the hosts are going to leave their hearts on the field in Sunday’s football game. You should bear in mind that the Fire are after their seventh straight win at home ground. Jason Kreis’ charges, on the other hand, played out a 3-3 draw with Montreal Impact at the weekend, but it is more than obvious that they suffered a dip in form. Chicago have been producing splendid showings of late and, taking everything into account, there is a big value in betting on Veljko Paunovic’s troops.
Highlighted Player (Bastian Schweinsteiger):
After making a name for himself at Bayern Munich, Bastian Schweinsteiger moved to Manchester United in 2015 for a fee of €9 million. The German midfielder won eight Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich, but he has yet to win the Premier League trophy with Manchester United. However, winning the 2014 World Cup trophy with Germany is considered Bastian’s biggest success and it is well known that he won the bronze medal with die Manschaft at the 2006 and the 2010 World Cup finals. Schweinsteiger was born on 1 August, 1984 and he scored 45 goals in 342 appearances for Bayern Munich. The German international, though, failed to impress in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign with Manchester United as he scored no more than one goal in 18 appearances for the Old Trafford outfit. Bastian Schweinsteiger netted once for Germany at the Euro 2016 finals and later in July he married Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic.
Highlighted Team (Orlando City):
Orlando City are a member of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer. The Lions have been participating in the major league since 2015 and they host their rivals at Orlando City Stadium. The venue was opened in February, 2017 and the construction of the stadium cost $155 million. Orlando City finished the 2015 MLS season in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and they failed to make it to the play-offs in the 2016 season as well (8th place). Brazilian ace Kaka is undisputedly the club’s most famous player and the former Real Madrid and Milan man became the highest-paid player in MLS history. His base salary was $6.6 million per year and it has to be noted that the Brazilian superstar found the net on his Orlando City debut against FC Dallas (friendly). Orlando City’s home kit is violet, while they wear white and violet shirts and white socks on the travels. The club’s official mascot is Kingston the Lion.
