Our football match prediction:
Houston Dynamo will be aiming to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Toronto when they host Orlando City at their BBVA Compass Stadium. Houston are a real force to be reckoned with at home and it has to be noted that they are after their fifth home win of the season. Wilmer Cabrera’s men have already defeated the likes of Seattle, Columbus, New York RB and San Jose Earthquakes at home this season and we predict that they will find the net in Sunday’s football match. Orlando City couldn’t have wished for a better start to the season and they are leading the standings ahead of the trip to Texas. The Lions are on top of their game at the moment and they are likely to extend their goal-scoring run against Houston. Taking everything into account, a high-scoring affair appears on the cards. A man to watch in the away team will be Kaka, who scored in a 2-0 win over Colorado at the weekend.
Highlighted Player (Tyler Deric):
Tyler Deric is a product of Houston Dynamo football academy. On February 27, 2009 the USA goalkeeper signed a professional development deal with the Dynamo and he made his senior debut for the club on October 16, 2010. The shoot-stopper, who was born on August 30, 1988 played for the likes of Austin Aztex, San Antonio Scorpions and Rio Grande Valley FC Toros in the past as well, but he has yet to earn his first call-up for USA national soccer team. Speaking of his personal life, it has to be noted that Tyler Deric and his teammate Warren Creavelle were arrested in 2012 following a row with a police officer. The 191-cm-tall goalkeeper conceded six goals in 10 appearances for Houston Dynamo in the 2016 MLS campaign and he did well to keep six clean sheets. During his youth career Tyler played for North Carolina Tar Heels, but, as previously mentioned, Houston Dynamo coaches helped him improve his goalkeeping skills.
Highlighted Team (Orlando City):
Orlando City are a member of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer. The Lions have been participating in the major league since 2015 and they host their rivals at Orlando City Stadium. The venue was opened in February, 2017 and the construction of the stadium cost $155 million. Orlando City finished the 2015 MLS season in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and they failed to make it to the play-offs in the 2016 season as well (8th place). Brazilian ace Kaka is undisputedly the club’s most famous player and the former Real Madrid and Milan man became the highest-paid player in MLS history. His base salary was $6.6 million per year and it has to be noted that the Brazilian superstar found the net on his Orlando City debut against FC Dallas (friendly). Orlando City’s home kit is violet, while they wear white and violet shirts and white socks on the travels. The club’s official mascot is Kingston the Lion.
