Our football match prediction:
Having dropped points for the sixth consecutive time across all competitions, Los Angeles Galaxy have a big elephant in the room to kick out. It was another familiar performance from Los Angles Galaxy on Saturday against New England Revolution. It’s has almost become the all season’s narrative to see Galaxy labour their way through the match, negating the positive sequences of play which come scarce, but come anyway. Galaxy shot themselves in the foot on too many occasions as they ended up chasing the result on two occasions before falling behind thanks to a quick-fire brace from Bunbury. Without injured Lletget, Husidic and national team tied Zardes, LA Galaxy now welcome Seattle hoping to get closer to the playoffs spots. Seattle Sounders won two games in a week and without their big-name players Clint Dempsey and Jordan Morris. Christian Roldan stepped up the plate to offer great coverage for the two big men, having scored twice in less than two minutes to lead the Sounders through in a comfortable 3-0 victory over San Jose Earthquakes. Kelvin Leerdam got his first MLS goal to complete the scoreline in what will have been a morale boosting win in just the right time for Seattle.
Highlighted Player (Ashley Cole):
After ending his spell with Arsenal Ashley Cole joined fellow capital club Chelsea in 2006. Arsenal fans were angry with the England full back, who “betrayed” the Gunners and signed a contract with their fierce local rivals. Ashley Cole, though, was hungry for trophies and in 2011/2012 he won the Champions League title with the Blues. He won the 2009/2010 Premier League trophy with the Stamford Bridge outfit as well and he played for Chelsea in a 2-1 win over Benfica in the 2012/2013 Europa League final. Ashley Cole was part of Roma from 2014 to 2016 and in the 2016 January transfer window he signed a deal with MLS club LA Galaxy. The left-footed defender made 29 appearances for Galaxy last season, scoring only one goal in the process. The experience footballer, who was born on December 20, 1980 in London, made his England debut against Albania in March, 2001. Speaking of his individual awards, Ashley Cole was named England Player of the Year in 2010.
Highlighted Team (Seattle Sounders):
Seattle Sounders are an American soccer club that compete in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. The Sounders are owned by the likes of Joe Roth, Paul Allen, Drew Carey and Adrian Hanauer and they play their home games at CenturyLink Field. The club won the 2016 MLS Cup, with the team beating Toronto FC on penalties in the trophy game at BMO Field. Swiss goalkeeper Stefan Frei won the MVP honour after pulling off several brilliant saves in the 2016 MLS Cup final. Winning of the MLS Cup is undisputedly the club’s biggest success, but it has to be noted that the Sounders clinched the Supporters’ Shield trophy in 2014. Seattle hold rivalry with Portland Timbers, but Vancouver Whitecaps are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well. Experienced attacker Clint Dempsey is undisputedly the club’s most significant star and he has been playing for the CenturyLink Field outfit since 2014. He scored eight goals in the league in the 2016 season and, no doubt, he helped the Sounders win their first ever MLS Cup.
