Our football match prediction:
TCF Bank Stadium will host Thursday’s football game between Minnesota United and Portland Timbers. The Loons suffered back-to-back defeats to the likes of Sporting Kansas City and Real Salt Lake in last two league fixtures and they do not seem to be on top of their game ahead of the visit of Portland Timbers. The newcomers, though, did well to beat star-studded Orlando City in their last home game in MLS and they are definitely capable of grabbing something from Thursday’s game. The Timbers are a team with two faces: they are tough to beat at home, but the team’s away record is anything but good. Nonetheless, given Minnesota United’s poor form, we predict that the visitors are going to hold the Loons to a draw. When the two teams met at Providence Park earlier this season Portland Timbers outclassed Minnesota United 5-1, meaning that the hosts are hungry for revenge.
