Our prediction for this MLS match:
New York City will be looking to build on back-to-back wins over Cincinnati (4-0) and Inter Miami (3-2) when they host DC United at their Yankee Stadium. Ronny Deila’s troops have been impressive in front of goal of late, and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against DC United. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Romania international Mitrita, who scored a brace in the triumph over Miami.
The capital club, on the other hand, suffered a dip in form, with the team losing each of their last three league fixtures without finding the net. Frederic Brillant, who was sent off at the weekend, is out of contention through suspension, while Arriola, Felipe, Flores, and Segura remain in the recovery room. Mohammed Abu is likely to miss the match as well after he was tested positive for coronavirus. Anyhow, DC United face an uphill task in the Yankee Stadium clash.
Highlighted Player (Alexandru Mitrita):
Italian Serie A is a Romanian footballer who is well known for his height. The 199-cm attacking midfielder, who is capable of playing as a winger as well, was born in Craiova on February 8, 1995 and he started his youth career at Turnu Severin.
In 2012 he moved to fellow Romanian club Viitorul Constanta and in 2015 he signed a deal with Italian side Pescara. After scoring 2 goals in 34 appearances for the Dolphins, he returned to Romania, signing a contract with Universitatea Craiova. Alexandru Mitrita was on New York City’s radar during the 2017/2018 season and seeing that he scored 18 goals in the national championship, the chiefs of the MLS club decided to sign him in 2019.
The Romanian footballer made his MLS soccer debut in a 2-2 draw with Orlando City, but he failed to find the net. Alexandru Mitrita’s preferred foot is right, but he often plays as a left winger.
