Our prediction for this MLS match:
New York City will be looking to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Toronto when they host FC Cincinnati at their Yankee Stadium. New York City have been struggling in front of goal of late, but they will not have a better chance than this to put an end to the negative trend. The likes of Moralez and Zelalem remain in the recovery room for the hosts, while Gray has yet to leave the quarantine.
FC Cincinnati, on the other hand, head into the match following a goalless draw with Philadelphia Union. Jaap Stam’s troops have been anything but impressive up front of late as well, and given their poor away record in the Major League Soccer, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts. You should bear in mind that New York City are eyeing their fourth consecutive win over Cincinnati in MLS.
Highlighted Player (Alexandru Mitrita):
Italian Serie A is a Romanian footballer who is well known for his height. The 199-cm attacking midfielder, who is capable of playing as a winger as well, was born in Craiova on February 8, 1995 and he started his youth career at Turnu Severin.
In 2012 he moved to fellow Romanian club Viitorul Constanta and in 2015 he signed a deal with Italian side Pescara. After scoring 2 goals in 34 appearances for the Dolphins, he returned to Romania, signing a contract with Universitatea Craiova. Alexandru Mitrita was on New York City’s radar during the 2017/2018 season and seeing that he scored 18 goals in the national championship, the chiefs of the MLS club decided to sign him in 2019.
The Romanian footballer made his MLS soccer debut in a 2-2 draw with Orlando City, but he failed to find the net. Alexandru Mitrita’s preferred foot is right, but he often plays as a left winger.
Highlighted Team (FC Cincinnati):
FC Cincinnati will make their MLS debut in the 2019 season. Based in Ohio, the Orange and Blue are a team who is expected to play their home games at West End Stadium. However, seeing that the West End Stadium is still under construction, FC Cincinnati will welcome their rivals at Nippert Stadium at the start of the season.
The team’s home colors are orange and blue, whilst they wear white shirts and white shorts when playing on the travels. Justin Hoyte, who used to play for the likes of Arsenal and Middlesbrough in the Premier League is considered one of the team’s most famous footballers.
The Orange and Blue will make their MLS debut against Seattle Sounders, whilst they will play their first ever home game in the league against Portland Timbers. It has to be noted that FC Cincinnati has five supporters groups: Die Innestadt, The Legion, The Pride, Queen City and The Briogaid.
