Our football match prediction:
All eyes will be on Yankee Stadium when New York City and Seattle Sounders face each other in the MLS derby. New York City came from behind to beat Philadelphia Union at the weekend, with the team scoring two goals in the last ten minutes of the match. The Blues are tough to beat at home and despite the fact that key midfielder Andrea Pirlo misses Saturday’s football match with injury, we predict that the hosts will find the net against Seattle. The Sounders, on the other hand, recorded a hard-fought win over Houston Dynamo in their last league match and it has to be noted that Clint Dempsey missed the game. The USA veteran returns from international duty and he is likely to prove a handful for the opposition back-line. Taking everything into account, both teams to score bet should be considered.
Highligted Player (Pirlo):
Over the years Andrea Pirlo has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world. “The Architect” played for Milan from 2001 to 2011 and won two Serie A (2003/2004, 2010/2011) trophies with the Rossoneri during his spell at Stadio San Siro. Pirlo clinched two Champions League titles with Milan as well (2002/2003, 2006/2007), but in 2011 Juventus signed him on a free contract until 2014. The Italian superstar, who is well known for his brilliant passes, won four Serie A titles with the Bianconeri and, speaking of his international career, he helped Italy beat France in the 2006 FIFA World Cup final in Germany. On July 6, 2015 Andrea Pirlo completed a move to MLS club New York City and he has been playing for the Pigeons ever since. The Italian veteran scored one goal, while providing six assists for his teammates in the 2016 MLS campaign. Andrea Pirlo has always been praised for his technique, touch, balance and dribbling ability and, no doubt, he will be remembered as one of the most significant footballers of the 21st century.
Highlighted Team (Seattle Sounders):
Seattle Sounders are an American soccer club that compete in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. The Sounders are owned by the likes of Joe Roth, Paul Allen, Drew Carey and Adrian Hanauer and they play their home games at CenturyLink Field. The club won the 2016 MLS Cup, with the team beating Toronto FC on penalties in the trophy game at BMO Field. Swiss goalkeeper Stefan Frei won the MVP honour after pulling off several brilliant saves in the 2016 MLS Cup final. Winning of the MLS Cup is undisputedly the club’s biggest success, but it has to be noted that the Sounders clinched the Supporters’ Shield trophy in 2014. Seattle hold rivalry with Portland Timbers, but Vancouver Whitecaps are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well. Experienced attacker Clint Dempsey is undisputedly the club’s most significant star and he has been playing for the CenturyLink Field outfit since 2014. He scored eight goals in the league in the 2016 season and, no doubt, he helped the Sounders win their first ever MLS Cup.
