Our prediction for this MLS match:
All eyes will be on Yankee Stadium when New York City and Toronto face each other in the MLS derby. New York City played out a 1-1 draw with Atlanta United in their last league match, with David Villa providing an assist for Alexander Callens, who scored the equalizer. El Guaje did not make Spain 2018 World Cup squad and, no doubt, he will be the man to watch in the home team in Sunday’s football match against Toronto. The Reds, on the other hand, have yet to find their best form in the 2018 MLS campaign and seeing that they struggle at the back, we predict the hosts will emerge triumphant in the Yankee Stadium showdown. Jozy Altidore remains in the recovery room, but Sebastian Giovinco could pose a big threat for the opposition defenders. Anyhow, home win should be considered in this one.
Highlighted Player (David Villa):

Over the years David Villa has established himself as one of the best attackers in the world. The Spanish superstar was producing excellent performances with Valencia from 2005 to 2010 and on May 19, 2010 Barcelona chiefs brought him to Camp Nou. “El Guaje” signed a four-year deal with Barca for a fee of €40 million and it is well known that he won a number of trophies with the Catalan giants.
Villa clinched two La Liga titles with Barca (2011/2012, 2012/2013) and in 2011 he scored for Pep Guardiola’s team in a 3-1 victory over Manchester United in the Champions League final. After spending one season at Atletico Madrid, the Spain international joined New York City in June, 2014 and he has been playing for Patrick Vieira’s team ever since.
Nonetheless, it has to be noted that he made four league appearances for Melbourne City during his loan spell with the Australian club. Villa’s international career was successful as well as he won both FIFA World Cup (2010) and UEFA European Championship (2008) with La Furia Roja.
Highlighted Team (Toronto FC):

Toronto is a club based in Canada, but they have been competing in Major League Soccer since 2007. Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment own both the soccer club and National Hockey League’s Toronto Maple Leafs. BMO Field is the club’s home ground and the capacity of the stadium is 30.000.
The Canadian outfit impressed in the 2016 MLS Cup and they faced Seattle Sounders in the title game at BMO Field. However, the Canadians were more than unfortunate not to lift the silverware as they were beaten by the Sounders on penalties.
Speaking of the Canadian Championship, Toronto FC won their fifth domestic title in 2016, with the team beating Vancouver Whitecaps in the final of the tournament. Montreal Impact are considered the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in meetings between the two Canadian sides. Toronto FC’s home kit is red and it is no surprise they are nicknamed the Reds. It has to be noted that the club was founded back in 2005.
