Our prediction for this MLS match:
Seattle Sounders desperately needed a win against DC United at the weekend and they managed to get one. The last season’s runners-up returned to winning ways, with the team putting an end to their three-game losing run in the Major League Soccer. Clint Dempsey has yet to open his goal-scoring account, but Nicolas Lodeiro proved his worth once again and all eyes will be on the Uruguay international when Seattle take on New York Red Bulls a midweek fixture. The Metros, on the other hand, extended their winless run to three games at the weekend, with the team sharing the spoils with Columbus Crew on the road. Key attacker Bradley Wright-Phillips failed to find the net this time out, but, no doubt, he is going to prove a handful for the opposition back-line in Thursday’s football match. Anyhow, the two teams seem to be evenly matched at the moment and we predict that they are going to share the spoils in New York.
Highlighted Player (Clint Dempsey):

Clint Dempsey is regarded as one of the most significant MLS stars. The USA veteran was born on March 9, 1983 and he gain popularity during his spell with Fulham. Dempsey scored 50 goals in 184 league appearances for the Cottagers and, as a result, Tottenham Hotspur owners decided to bring him to White Hart Lane in the summer of 2012.
The USA international, though, was struggling to find his best form in the 2012/2013 Premier League campaign and he netted only seven goals in 29 league fixtures. From 2004 to 2006 Dempsey played for New England Revolution and in 2013 he returned to MLS, signing a four-year contract with Seattle Sounders for a fee of $9 million. He made his Seattle debut on August 20, 2013, coming as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Toronto.
In 2016 Clint Dempsey helped the Sounders clinch the MLS Cup trophy and, speaking of his international titles, it has to be noted that he won the CONCACAF Gold Cup with USA on two occasions (2005, 2007).
Highlighted Team (Seattle Sounders):

Seattle Sounders are an American soccer club that compete in the Western Conference of Major League Soccer. The Sounders are owned by the likes of Joe Roth, Paul Allen, Drew Carey and Adrian Hanauer and they play their home games at CenturyLink Field.
The club won the 2016 MLS Cup, with the team beating Toronto FC on penalties in the trophy game at BMO Field. Swiss goalkeeper Stefan Frei won the MVP honor after pulling off several brilliant saves in the 2016 MLS Cup final.
Winning of the MLS Cup is undisputedly the club’s biggest success, but it has to be noted that the Sounders clinched the Supporters’ Shield trophy in 2014. Seattle hold rivalry with Portland Timbers, but Vancouver Whitecaps are regarded as the club’s bitter rivals as well.
Experienced attacker Clint Dempsey is undisputedly the club’s most significant star and he has been playing for the CenturyLink Field outfit since 2014. He scored eight goals in the league in the 2016 season and, no doubt, he helped the Sounders win their first ever MLS Cup.
