Our football match prediction:
Despite being regarded as one of the main favourites to win the MLS Cup, Orlando City have been struggling at the start of the season. The Lions are on a six-game winless run in the league ahead of Thursday’s football match against DC United and they suffered back-to-back defeats to the likes of New York City and Minnesota United in previous two league fixtures. Key player Ricardo Kaka missed the Minnesota game with injury and he is rated doubtful for the DC United clash. The capital club desperately needed a win against Vancouver Whitecaps at the weekend and they managed to get one. Lamar Neagle scored the winner from the penalty spot for DC United and he helped the team put an end to their three-match losing run in MLS. Considering that Orlando City have been struggling to find their best form of late, we predict that the visitors are going to grab one point from Thursday’s clash.
Highlighted Player (Ricardo Kaka):
Ricardo Kaka is regarded as one of the most significant MLS stars. The Brazilian ace spent six seasons (2003/2009) at Stadio San Siro with Milan and he scored 70 goals in 193 league appearances for the Rossoneri. In 2007 he helped the Serie A giants beat Liverpool in the Champions League final. Real Madrid chiefs were eager to sign Kaka and they managed to bring him to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on June 30, 2009. The Brazil international, though, was playing below expectations for Real Madrid and due to the lack of first-team football he decided to return to Milan in 2013. Kaka scored seven goals in 30 league appearances in his second spell with the Rossoneri and in 2014 he moved to MLS, signing a contract with Orlando City. Speaking of his international career, the Orlando City superstar clinched the FIFA World Cup trophy with Brazil in 2002. It has to be noted that Kaka was named FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007.
